VMOU admissions are offered to its various UG, PG, diploma, PG diploma, and PhD programmes based on either an entrance test or the merit of a candidate in the last qualifying exam. The university attracts thousands of applications twice every year for admissions in January and July. Candidates can apply for the VMOU admission process to various courses in both admission sessions. The VMOU Kota selection process is mostly based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. VMOU courses include a two-year MBA programme under the School of Commerce and Management. This course is offered through distance learning mode. The university accepts various national-level entrance exams for admission to this programme. More on VMOU MBA admissions can be found below.

VMOU MBA Eligibility Criteria 2023

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with 50% marks from any recognised university or a master’s degree from any recognised university or a professional degree in engineering/ technology/ medicine/ architecture/ law.
• They also need to take the MAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ VMOU exam.

VMOU Kota MBA Selection Process 2023

• Candidates are selected based on their merit in the entrance tests. The university conducts the VMOU MET exam for MBA admissions. However, candidates with a valid CAT/ MAT/ CMAT score are exempted from the VMOU MET exam.

M.Com is a PG-level programme offered by the VMOU School of Commerce and Management. Students may complete this course within two years to four years.

• Students must complete a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university.

VMOU M.Com Selection Process 2023

• Students are selected for VMOU Kota M.Com admissions based on their marks obtained at the UG level of their study.

The School of Science and Technology at the university offers an MCA programme. The minimum and maximum duration of this programme is two years to four years.

VMOU Eligibility Criteria for MCA 2023

• Candidates must have completed their UG level of study from a recognised university.
• They also need to appear for the VMOU MCA Entrance Test conducted by the university.

VMOU MCA Selection Process 2023

• The university releases the VMOU MCA merit list based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the VMOU MCA Entrance Test. Candidates are offered final admission to the MCA programme based on their rank on the merit list.

The university offers M.Sc programmes in various specialisations such as computer science, chemistry, geography, mathematics, botany, zoology, and physics. Students may complete these programmes between two years to four years.

Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University M.Sc Eligibility Criteria 2023

• Students must have completed their graduation in a relevant subject from a recognised university.
• They also need to take the VMOU M.Sc Entrance Test.

VMOU Selection Process for M.Sc 2023

• The university prepares a VMOU M.Sc merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the VMOU M.Sc Entrance Test. The selected candidates can take the final admission to the M.Sc programme at the university by paying the course fee.

The VMOU courses list includes an MCA programme at the PG level offered under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This programme is offered with a minimum and maximum duration of two to four years.

• Candidates must have a BSW or an equivalent degree from a recognised university to participate in the Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University MCA selection process.

• The university grants admission to its MSW programme based on a student’s merit in the last qualifying exam. There is no entrance exam for MSW admissions at VMOU.

M.Lib.I.Sc or MLIS is a PG-level programme at Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University. Enrolled students may complete this programme within one to two years.

VMOU M.Lib.I.Sc Eligibility Criteria 2023 

• Applicants must have passed B.Lib.I.Sc. or equivalent from a recognised institute/ university.

VMOU M.Lib.I.Sc Selection Process 2023

• Students are selected for this programme based on their past academic performance.

• They also need to take the VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam.

• The university releases the VOMU B.Ed merit list based on the candidates’ performance in the VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list are provided with final admission during the counselling round based on their merit ranks.

BBA is a UG-level programme offered by the School of Commerce and Management at VMOU Kota. Students can complete this programme within three to six years.

• Students are evaluated for VMOU BBA admissions based on their performance in the last qualifying examination.

The School of Continuing Education at the University offers a Bachelor of Journalism or BJ programme. The minimum and maximum duration of this programme is one year and two years, respectively.

VMOU BJ Eligibility Criteria 2023

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university to be eligible for the VMOU BJ selection process.

VMOU BJ Selection Process 2023

• Students are selected for the BJ programme at the university based on their merit in the last qualifying examination.

BLIS is a UG-level programme offered at VMOU Kota under the School of Continuing Education. Students may complete this programme within one to two years.

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate.

VMOU BLIS Selection Process 2023

• Students are offered final VMOU Kota BLIS admissions based on their past academic records.

The university offers diploma programmes in a total of eight specialisations such as Apabhrasha Language, culture and tourism, mass communication, Prakit Language, and others. All these courses are offered under different schools with a duration window of one year to two years.

• Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board to be eligible for diploma programmes at the university.

• The university provides direct admission to its diploma programmes based on the academic record of the candidates and the availability of seats in a particular programme.

VMOU PhD is offered in a total of 18 specialisations through the distance education mode. These PhD specialisations belong to the fields of management, arts, science, commerce, journalism, economics, and many more. Candidates need to take an entrance test followed by a personal interview for VMOU PhD admissions.

• Students are selected for VMOU PhD admissions based on their performance in the entrance test and the following personal interview. The university releases a VMOU PhD merit list for final admission. Students must note that if they have qualified for the UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE/ SET exam, they are exempted from the VMOU PhD entrance exam. However, the personal interview is mandatory for all candidates.
• Candidates are also given a weightage of 10 marks in the final merit (written test and interview) if they have:
  • Qualified for UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination/ SET/ GATE (with a valid score) or a teacher research fellowship holder.
  • Passed M.Phil course with a minimum of 65% marks from any recognised university.
  • A permanent university/ college teacher who is appointed by RPSC/  equivalent/ duly constituted selection committee working in the UGC scale with a minimum of five years of teaching experience on a regular basis.

Step 1: Visit the official website of VMOU (vmou.ac.in) and click on ‘First Year/Fresh Admissions’ in the upper right corner of the website.

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Now’ and tap on ‘New User’ to start the application process.

Step 3: Register yourself with a valid contact number and email id and verify the registration by entering the received OTP on the given contact details. 

Step 4: Choose your desired course and fill in the VMOU Kota application form with adequate information.

Step 5: Upload a scanned copy of the photograph, signature, and required documents and submit the application form by paying the required VMOU application fee. Students must note that the B.Ed, MBA, and lateral entry course application fee must be submitted through challan in the name of Oriental Bank of Commerce.
