GATE 2023 CE Exam Shift 1 and 2 was conducted on February 12, 2023. Candidates can check the paper analysis as well as the chapter wise weightage here.

GATE Civil Engineering Paper Analysis 2023 - 12 February Shift 2

  • According to the reaction of the students, the difficulty level of GATE 2023 CE Exam for Shift 2 was moderate.
  • There were 19 NAT questions, 11 MSQ questions, and 35 MCQs.
  • The topics asked in exam were Engineering Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Irrigation, SOM +Structure, etc.

GATE Civil Engineering Paper Analysis 2023 - 12 February Shift 1

  • Based on the student’s reactions, the difficulty level was easy to moderate.
  • The questions asked were calculative in nature.
  • There were 22 NAT questions, 11 MSQ questions, and 35 MCQs.
  • Engineering Mechanics and Highway was the easy part of the paper while the highest weight was taken by Geotechnical Engineering which consisted of 16 marks.
