All About CAT Exam 2023: The Common Admission Test or CAT, as it is popularly known, is one of the most sought-after MBA entrance exams in India. CAT is the entrance exam used by many of the top-tier business schools and management institutes in India, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). These institutes are known for their high academic standards and rigorous management programs. CAT serves as the gateway to gaining admission to these prestigious institutions. Over 2 lakh applicants apply for the exam every year and there is a significant rise in the number of candidates each year.  IIM Trichy Selection Criteria 2024-26 includes candidates’ performance in the CAT exam, Personal Interview (PI), Academic Background, Work Experience, and Gender Diversity. IIM Trichy participates in IIM CAP (Common Admission Process) along with 9 other baby IIMs for MBA admission. The same has begun in January 2024 since the IIM CAP shortlist is out. The last date to apply for CAP is January 29, 2024.

IIM cutoff 2023 can range anywhere between 90 and 100 percentile depending on the IIM one is applying to. For the top IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikhode, and IIM Calcutta, the qualifying cutoff is expected to be around 80-85 percentile, while the final call cutoff will lie in the range of 99-100. Notably, the IIM CAT cutoff 2023 differs from one category to another and each IIM also releases both overall and section-wise CAT cutoff. 

NIRF MBA Ranking 2023: The Union Minister of Education released the NIRF Rankings 2023 for MBA colleges on June 5, 2023. IIM Ahmedabad once again retained the top position on the NIRF ranking list, becoming the top management institution in India, followed by IIM Bangalore. This year, IIM Kozhikode secured the third position, leaving IIM Calcutta behind in the 4th position. The IIM CAP 2024 registration last date was January 31, 2024. The applicants could submit their forms on the official website up to 5:00 PM. The IIM CAP 2024 application form was released on January 20. Candidates who met the qualifying cutoff CAP participating IIMs were able to fill out the application form and appear for personal interviews, which will be conducted most likely in February 2024.

IIM Selection Criteria 2024-26 involves the requirements that candidates have to meet to get MBA admission into the IIMs. IIM admission criteria 2024-26 are different for each IIM institute depending on the CAT score and academic requirements. IIM selection criteria change based on the yearly performance of the institute and admission statistics of the previous year.

Candidates who qualify for the CAT exam and meet the qualifying cutoff set by individual IIMs are selected for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final admission into IIMs is based on the candidate's overall profile - CAT score, academic background, work experience, category, and WAT & PI score.

List of Important Documents Required on CMAT 2024 Exam Day: The National Testing Agency will conduct the CMAT 2024 exam on May 15, 2024, in two shifts, from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. On the examination day, the candidates should report to the allotted exam centre with the CMAT admit card 2024, and a valid ID proof and for the same, the candidates should reach the exam centre by the scheduled time. Post that, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. Apart from that, the candidates should also obey the exam day instructions on the CMAT exam day.
