Overall: The Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act established DDU Gorakhpur in 1957. The institution has six faculties and 29 departments and is situated across 191.21 acres of land. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University Gorakhpur is connected with about 340 institutions. The DDU university was the first in Uttar Pradesh to be established following independence. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) both acknowledge it. Hostels, health facilities, sports complexes, libraries, canteens, and other amenities are available on campus. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University provides undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the arts, management, science, and engineering disciplines. DDU Gorakhpur admission to these degrees is merit-based, however the institution also accepts exam scores such as JEE Mains and the DDU entrance examination. By helping our students sign up for internship programmes that would give them on-the-job training and practical experience in the sector they want to pursue as a profession, the Placement and Counselling Cell hopes to close the gap between the educational setting and the industries. The Cell will make efforts to facilitate the smooth selection of all the firms for the benefit of the students. After confirming that the students have obtained the necessary qualifications from the University, the Cell will work in cooperation with business organisations to provide suitable opportunities to the students enrolled with the Cell. Career Guidance and Counselling Programmes are organized with the objective of introducing its students to several job opportunities available to them in their respective areas of studies and familiarize them with emerging job opportunities by career counsellors, established professionals and successful entrepreneurs. These programmes help the students identify their talents and strengths as well as their weaknesses that can be overcome by the right training and skills to achieve their desired career goals.

Infrastructure: The Central Library of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Gorakhpur University was established in the university's very first year. This library structure is around four thousand square metres in size and has approximately four lakhs of textbooks. It serves more than 15,000 students from the University's five faculties, as well as professors, staff, and researchers who come here for research. Sensor based lights, LED, Bio Gas Plant, Solar Energy are installed to create a green campus. DDU Gorakhpur Examination and Evaluation Centre has twelve large halls ranging from the ground to the second level. This structure serves the purpose of evaluating various University examinations. Considering the high number of colleges affiliated, this facility is extremely advantageous since evaluation of a big number of regular and private students of different classes may take place concurrently, reducing overall time spent in evaluation significantly. As a result, the findings are now available in a short period of time. The facility is also utilised for examination preparation and follow-up activities. Additionally, DDU Gorakhpur Health Centre offers NCC cadets medical checkup services. The university's health centre collaborates with other departments to develop awareness campaigns. It organised a camp to immunise university staff and students both during and after COVID. Prof. Ajay Singh, Dean of Student Welfare, and Prof. Veena B. Kushwaha, Incharge of the Health Centre, keep an eye on how the university's health centre is operating.

Faculty: Teachers are excellent and helpful. We are also taught by outside professors who provide us with real-world examples from the business world to help us grasp. Additionally, we have a mentor who offers us individualised attention. Additionally, a counsellor is available on campus to assist with any form of stress.

Hostel: Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University's Sant Kabir Hostel is a PG Boys Hostel with 147 rooms that may accommodate single occupancy. Based on their qualifications and travel time from their residences, this hostel offers residential housing to postgraduate students in the fields of science, commerce, the arts, and other fields who are enrolled at the university. The pupils will soon have access to Wi-Fi again for an excellent education. Installation of CCTV cameras will allow for the monitoring of hostel operations. At the moment, Dr. K.M. Mishra, Dr. Virendra Kumar Madhukar, and Dr. Om Prakash Singh are the superintendents and are helping to improve the hostel together with Prof. Umesh Yadava, who is the warden.
