BPT Course Syllabus for Distance Programme

Apart from the regular BPT courses offered across the colleges in India, there is a list of institutes which offer distance learning programs to students pursuing a BPT Course as well. While some may wonder whether the value of a distance/correspondence BPT course is worthwhile, it is important to note that students are always professionally advised to pursue a regular BPT Course for a successful career approach.

The BPT Course Syllabus for distance-learning program is majorly drafted in the same manner as of the regular BPT course. However, it is important to know of the detailed BPT syllabus for distance-learning in order to be well aware of the course structure.  Mentioned below are some important points to remember while pursuing a BPT course through distance learning:

  • The course duration for BPT distance-learning program is 4 years, without any mandatory internship period.
  • The eligibility criteria for BPT course in distance-learning setup is 10+2 qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50%, and entrance exam qualification as conducted by particular institutions.
  • The average BPT course fee for a distance-learning program usually ranges from INR 15,000 to INR 4 LPA, depending on the type of educational institution. The fees are usually lesser than for the same course when opted for a regular course learning experience.
  • The BPT syllabus for distance learning is the same as that of the regular course without any major fundamentals changes.

However, it must be noted that the BPT Course requires a lot of intensive practical training, which is lacking in the distance program. The absence of the mandatory 6 month internship makes it a little less authentic  compared to a regular BPT Course. Moreover, the University Grant Commission (UGC) also does not consider it a valid program due to this reason.
