    Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration or BBA+MBA is a four- or five-year-integrated programme opted by students after clearing 12th standard. The duration of the programme may vary from college to college as some of the colleges might reward the degree after the completion of 4 years of education.     Admissions to BBA MBA are mostly direct while some institutes prefer taking entrance tests for admission purposes. Therefore the entrance exams are held to test the eligibility of candidates for the integrated MBA programme who would later take up roles in business and management fields. Here are the top BBA MBA entrance exams after 12th:

    • IPMAT Indore: This BBA MBA entrance exam is conducted by IIM Indore and is a national-level entrance test. Students must score at least 60% in higher secondary and must be a maximum of 20 years old. IPMAT is conducted in a computer-based mode where there are three sections namely Quantitative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Aptitude (Short Questions) and Verbal Ability. Students get 2 hours to complete 90 questions. The exam is of moderate difficulty. The colleges that accept IPMAT Indore scores are the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), NIRMA University, NALSAR University, and Jagdish Sheth School of Management.
    • JIPMAT: National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of conducting JIPMAT or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test for five years integrated management course at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The test contains three parts: Quantitative Aptitude (33 questions)Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (33 questions) and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (34 questions). The exam duration is 2.5 hours. 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer while 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
    • IPMAT Rohtak: This integrated MBA entrance exam is taken for admission to IIM Rohtak. The exam pattern consists of three sections including verbal ability, quantitative ability and logical reasoning. Each section consists of 40 questions and is in multiple-choice question format. 
    • LPUNEST: LPUNEST is conducted by Lovely Professional University which is a scholarship cum entrance test for BBA MBA admissions. It is an online test where a total of 150 questions are asked and the total marks are 500. 
    • MUCMET: Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test or MUCMET is conducted every year to admit students to integrated MBA at Mumbai University. The test is in pen and paper mode and is for 2 hours. The syllabus includes General Awareness, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical and Abstract Reasoning. 

    BBA+MBA Eligibility Criteria

    The general eligibility criteria for the integrated BBA+MBA program are the same as that of the BBA program: 

    • Students applying for admission must have passed the 12th examination from any stream. 
    • Besides this, students may check the information brochure or eligibility criteria for the college to check more about the eligibility criteria. 
    • Students who have appeared for the 12th examination may also apply for admission. Such candidates will have to submit the 12th mark sheet before the last date allotted by the college.
    • Aspirants must be more than 17 years of age. There is no upper limit to studying the course still students must check with their respective universities.
    • The marks achieved in class 10th are also considered while evaluating candidates for admission.
    • Students must secure at least 60% in their higher secondary. Some institutes accept scores as low as 45%. There is a relaxation of 5% for students from reserved categories.
    • There is no specific subject requirement to study BBA+MBA. Students from any stream can apply for the course.

    BBA+MBA Admission Process

    The admission process of the BBA+MBA process will differ from college to college. Students who are going for admission may check the detailed selection process for the college from its official website. In general, candidates will have to appear for the entrance examination of that college or get direct admission to the universities based on their marks in higher secondary. 

    BBA+MBA Direct Admission 

    Students have to fill up the application form by logging in to the website of the respective university. Thereafter, the university will publish a merit list of students who have been selected. for the course. A counseling session will be held after which students finally can get admitted. 

    BBA+MBA Entrance-Based Admission 

    The step-by-step entrance-based admission process is given below:

    • Students will have to appear for entrance examinations such as IPMAT, JIPMAT, NPAT, UGAT, and IPM Aptitude Test scores.
    • Once the results are out, they will be able to participate in counseling sessions.
    • The college will further conduct the personal interview round after the successful completion of the entrance examination. 
    • Candidates who clear all the rounds successfully will be called for document verification. 
    •  Colleges will further consider candidates' performance in the co-curricular activities at the time of selection. Once the selection process is over, candidates will be invited to submit the annual fee in order to reserve their seats.

    Note: There are some colleges that will grant admission directly on the basis of the entrance exam scores.

    The course curriculum of BBA MBA focuses on building foundation in first three years and developing management skills in the next two years. A combination of analytical rigour and wide exposure equips students for leadership roles and positions of responsibility in different sectors.
