JoSAA Seat Matrix 2024 - The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the JoSAA 2024 seat matrix on the official website. During the JoSAA 2024 counselling, mock allotments were released for two rounds to help candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds. Candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit, preferences, and availability of seats. Earlier, the authorities released the seat matrix and participating institutes list for JoSAA counselling 2024. Candidates who applied for the JoSAA 2024 counselling process can check the seat matrix and institutes lists on the official website- josaa.nic.in. The category-wise seat matrix of various participating institutes has been provided here.

JoSAA 2024 Cutoffs: Through JoSAA counselling 2024, a student can get admission in NITs, IIITs, IITs GFTIs. JoSAA conducts six rounds of counselling, and the majority of takers aspire for NIT admission keeping IIIT/ GFTI as alternative options. While admission is possible up to 3 lakh rank in JEE Main, securing admission in popular NITs and B.Tech specializations is limited for a low rank in JEE Main (above 1,00,000). While CSE is the most preferred course through JoSAA counselling 2024 followed by IT, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical and Civil Engineering are the other engineering courses.

With more than five lakh takers competing for admission in premier institutes every year, the competition has always been high. While NITs offer a total number of 23,994 seats in B.Tech, IIITs offer 7126 and 6,759 seats by GFTIs and IITs offer 16,598 seats. From the seat matrix data, it is evident that not all students participating in JoSAA counselling may get admission to desired institute and course. In such a case, finding out the right alternative option may be a challenging task. Getting admission to a private college can be one of the options, but finding the right college may be a challenging task.

List of JoSAA  Participating Institutes 2024: Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the list of JoSAA 2024 participating institutes at josaa.nic.in.  JoSAA manages the admissions process for admissions to 32 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and 38 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The list of JoSSA participating institutions is available at josaa.nic.in. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) opened the registration for JEE Advanced 2024 counselling from June 19 to 28, as per the official schedule. 

IIIT Sri City CSE Admission Chances: To secure admission in B.Tech CSE at IIIT Sri City, a high rank in JEE Mains examination is necessary. Candidates with a rank of 35,000 have a lower possibility of getting a seat at the institute in the specified branch. However, those with ranks below 26,000 have higher chances of being admitted to the institute. JoSAA Mock Allotment 2024 -  The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release will be released tentatively in the last week of June 2024, at josaa.admissions.nic.in. To check the mock allotment candidates had to enter their login credentials JEE Main 2024 application number and password. JEE Advanced 2024 result will be released along with the final answer keys on June 9, 2024.

JoSAA mock seat allotment 2024 is for candidates to only have a basic idea about the college and stream they get during the counselling as per their ranks and category. The JoSAA 2024 First round mock allotment is not the final allotment but it just gives a tentative idea of the admission chances. Based on the mock allotment result, the candidates can alter their choices accordingly. It is also important to check the previous year’s JoSAA 2024 cutoff or opening & closing ranks to get a basic idea while filling in or editing the choices. Candidates who have filled choices shall be considered for mock allotment.
