Bachelor of Science in Forestry is a four-year undergraduate program that is divided into eight equal semesters. It provides students with the knowledge and training about Forestry. Forestry program trains students in the managing of forests, new plantation, maintaining old plantations and other natural resources.
The main aim of forestry studies is the creation and implementation of systems and framework for the sustainable continuation of forest resources and supplies and to make sure that the non-renewable sources do not get extinct. During the program, students are offered theoretical and practical knowledge regarding forestry and other related fields.
Forestry professionals have various duties to perform such as managing forest resources, conserving forest and forest supplies, generating awareness and implementing new technology in the forestry department.

The candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board.
The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.
The admission to B.Sc Forestry course is done in two ways:
Merit-Based: The merit-based admission to the course is done directly on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination. Some colleges also prepare a cutoff list based on the qualifying examination for admission.
Entrance Based: The entrance based admission to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in a national level, state level or college level entrance exams. The admission is done through the counselling process.
