ICAR AIEEA 2018 Exam Pattern

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Exam Pattern mentions all the details regarding paper mode, time duration of the entrance exam, question paper medium, marking scheme, etc. Candidates appearing for AIEEA 2018 should go through the exam pattern of ICAR AIEEA 2018 in detail to gain a proper understanding of the exam. The ICAR conducts AIEEA UG, AIEEA PG, and AIEEA Ph. D separately in order to admit candidates in various degree courses in the field of agriculture. Given below is the detailed AIEEA 2018 exam pattern.

ICAR AIEEA UG 2018 Exam Pattern

  • AIEEA UG 2018 is conducted in offline (Pen-Paper based) mode.

  • The time duration for attempting the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

  • In the AIEEA UG question paper, there are 3 sections as opted by the candidate at the time of filling the online application and all questions have equal weightage.

  • The combination of the subjects are given below:

    • For PCB Group: Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Biology (B).

    • For PCM Group: Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Mathematics(M).

    • For PCA Group: Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Agriculture (A).

    • For ACB Group: Agriculture (A), Biology (B) and Chemistry (C).

  • AIEEA UG 2018 consists of 720 marks in total.

  • They are awarded 4 marks for every correct response and 1 mark are deducted for every incorrect answer.

  • No marks are awarded for un-attempted questions.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2018 Exam Pattern

  • The time duration for attempting the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

  • In the AIEEA PG question paper, there is a one question paper for each of the 20 major subject-groups, which includes 150 multiple choice objective type of questions, each of which has four options.

  • Apart from this, there are 10 cross-matching type questions, each having five sub-questions for every subject-group paper.

  • The 20 major subject groups are: Plant Biotechnology, Plant Sciences, Physical Science, Entomology and Nematology, Agronomy, Social Sciences, Statistical Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry/Agroforestry and Silviculture, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Water Science & Technology, Community Science (erstwhile Home Science), Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Dairy Science, Dairy Technology, Food Science Technology & Agri-Business Management.

  • In each subject-group, 150 multiple choice objective type questions are numbered respectively 1- 150 while 10 cross-matching type questions are numbered from 151-160 respectively.

  • AIEEA PG 2018 consists of 650 marks in total.

  • Each correctly answered multiple-choice objective type question awarded as 4 marks, while each correctly answered cross-matching type question awarded as 5 marks (1 mark for each correct pairing)

  • For each incorrectly answered multiple-choice objective type question, 1 mark is deducted from the total score while for each incorrectly answered cross-matching type sub-question, 0.2 marks is deducted from the total score.

  • No marks are awarded for un-attempted questions

ICAR AIEEA Ph.D. 2018 Exam Pattern

  • The time duration for attempting the exam is 3 hours.

  • AIEEA Ph.D. 2018 consists of 200 marks in total.

  • In the AIEEA Ph.D. question paper, there are 2 sections:

  • Section A: This section is based on General Knowledge.

    • The question paper comprises 20 multiple type of questions (objective type).

    • For each correct answer, candidates are awarded 1 mark.

    • There are 20 marks in total.

    • The questions are based on General Knowledge in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Allied Sciences, etc. including current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected to be known to a research scholar.

  • Section B: There are a total of 180 MCQs in the entrance examination, each of which contains one mark on a specific major subject group.

  • Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark.

  • No marks are awarded for un-attempted questions.
