About Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) - Super Speciality Course in Surgery/ Surgical Oncology

Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) is a super speciality course in surgery/ surgical oncology which is a three-year full-time postgraduate speciality branch that offers knowledge about different type of tumours, surgical management and treatment of tumours.

The main focus areas of the M.Ch program is the diagnosis, biopsy and treatment of all type of cancers and tumours. The program guides and trains students to diagnose the different type of cancers, latest development in the field of radiation, clinical practice, chemotherapy and radiations so that they can give recommendations.

The ultimate aim of the M.Ch program is to train doctors in such a manner that they are highly efficient and capable of offering the best treatment and recommendations to the patients so as to be treated for cancer successfully. 

The course combines both theoretical and practical components of the study along with intensive case studies and a research-based dissertation.

The eligibility criteria for M.Ch is mentioned below:

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must hold a DNB/ MD/ MS degree or equivalent from a recognized university as under the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Work Experience: Candidates must have completed a compulsory rotating internship of one year after completing an MBBS degree.
