About BVP CET 2018

BVP CET 2018 will be organised from the last week of March 2018. BVP CET 2018 is a university level examination organised by Bharati Vidyapeeth University for admission to engineering, management, medical, nursing and other courses. Although the examination is organised separately for different courses, the university issues a common notification for all. BVP CET is organised in offline mode for the following programmes.

  • B-CAT: For admission to the PG Programs: Master of Computer Application (MCA), Lateral Entry to 2nd year MCA

  • B-MAT: For Admission to the PG Programs: MBA (Dual Specialization), MBA (HR)

  • BUMAT: For Admission to UG Programs: BBA, BCA

BVP CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to apply for BVP CET 2018 should check whether they meet the minimum eligibility criteria for applying in the examination. As Bharati Vidyapeeth University offers many courses, the eligibility norms are different for different courses. The eligibility norms for various courses are listed below:

For B.Tech:

  • Candidates are required to qualify or should be appearing for the 12th standard examination from a recognised board or university.
  • Mathematics and Physics should be mandatory subjects. The optional subjects can be Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.
  • Candidates should get a minimum of 45% marks (in case of General category) and 40%  in case of Reserved (SC/ST) category.

For MBA:

  • There is no upper age limit to apply for MBA programme.
  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
  • Candidates should get a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for reserved (SC/ST) candidates)

For MCA (Lateral entry/3 years full-time):

  • There is no age limit to apply for MCA programme.
  • Candidates should have a 3-year Bachelor's degree programme.
  • Candidates should have studied Mathematics at the graduate level or 10+2 level.
  • For MCA lateral entry, candidates should have a minimum of 3 -year Bachelor's degree programme in BCS, BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/IT).
  • Candidates should get a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination (40% for reserved (SC/ST) candidates).

For PG Medical Programme

  • Candidates should have done MBBS from a recognised medical college.
  • Candidates should have completed their mandatory rotating internship of one year on or before April 30, 2018.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved (SC/ST) candidates) in MEDPET 2018.

For PG Dental Programme

  • Candidates should have passed BDS examination from a recognised dental college.
  • Candidates should have completed their mandatory rotating internship of one year on or before March 31, 2018.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved (SC/ST) candidates) in DENPET 2018.

For M.Tech Programme

  • Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant stream or equivalent examination with minimum passing marks from an AICTE approved institution or AMIE along with a valid GATE score.

BVP CET 2018 Exam Pattern

BVP CET 2018 is a pen and paper based entrance examination and candidates will be asked to fill the answers in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet.

  • The questions will be of multiple choice type and candidates will have to choose the correct answer out of the given 4 choices.

  • One Mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

  • There is no negative marking.

BVP CET Result 2018 Announced

BVP CET 2018 Result for B.Tech has been announced on 10th June 2018. The result has been released offline as well as on the official website of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune i.e. bvuniversity.edu.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access the result on the Unversity's official website using their login credentials.

The selected candidates are called for admission into the university. A rank list is prepared on the basis of the candidates’ marks in BVP CET exam. Counselling and seat allotment process is done after the rank list is declared.

The results are available in online and offline mode.

For Online:

  • Go to the official website of the University i.e. www.bvuniversity.edu.in.
  • On the home page, click on the link available to access the BVP CET 2018 Results.
  • You will be redirected to the login page.
  • After that, provide your email ID, User ID and Password.
  • Then, click on the 'Submit' tab.

BVP CET 2018 Counselling Process

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University has started the offline counselling process of BVP CET 2018 for admission of candidates into its B.Tech courses. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list as prepared by the University on the basis of the marks obtained in the BVP CET examination have to participate in the counselling sessions and the on-spot admission session as per their rank. The counselling is taking place for admission in various courses and branches of the Institute.

Participation in the counselling process is mandatory for the applicants to be able to get admission in BVPU's undergraduate engineering programmes. Based on the entrance exam, counselling and document verification, candidates are allotted seats. There are about 700 B.Tech seats up for grabs at the University.

BVP CET 2018 was conducted on 27th May for B.Tech as per the schedule and the results were out for the same on 4th June.

Detailed Counselling Process after BVP CET 2018

Step 1 – BVP CET 2018 Counselling Call Letter is Issued to the Candidate

Post the declaration of BVP CET 2018 Result, the first 5000 candidates whose name appear in the merit list will be issued call letter for counselling by the admission authorities. Candidates will receive the call letters of BVP CET counselling 2018 on their registered email addresses. As per the specified date and time, candidates must report to the counselling venue along with the download counselling letter.

Step 2 –​ Candidate has to Report to the BVP CET Counselling Venue

After receiving the counselling letter, the qualified candidates must report at the BVP CET 2018 counselling venue on the scheduled date and time. If a candidate fails to do so, his/her candidature will be cancelled. For a candidate who is eligible for counselling but has not received any letter, he/she should remain present at the venue for the counselling process and for on the spot admission. However, the candidate should get some identity proof that indicates he/she appeared for the exam.

Step 3 – Filling of Choices

At the time of counselling, the choice of college and course should be filled by candidates as per their preference. They must also try and fill as many choices as possible in order to increase the probability of the desired course and college.

Step 4 – Seat Allotment

The qualified candidates will be allotted seats at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Engineering, Pune in order of their ranking in the merit list, choices filled during the counselling process and availability of course or college.

Step 5 – Document Verification

Once the seat allotment is done, candidates must produce any of the documents that are requested by the admission authority. A candidate's claim for the seat will be forfeited if he/she is unable to produce the requisite documents for verification. Candidates must two sets of photocopies of the documents along with the originals.

Important Instructions Regarding BVP CET 2018 Counselling

  • Candidates who successfully pass BVP CET entrance 2018 and meet the cut-off are called for the offline counselling session.
  • The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory.
  • The choice of course made by the candidate will be final and will not be altered later under any circumstances.
  • Those who fail to make it to the counselling center due to unavoidable circumstances, they may authorise their family members to represent them.
  • The representative must carry with him/her the letter of authorisation in the specified format and all the documents mentioned.
  • Only one parent/guardian will be allowed to attend the BVP CET Counselling 2018 hall.
  • All the required documents must be carried by the candidates with the demand draft for the payment of tuition fee. If any candidate fails to deposit any of the document, he/she will not be allowed admission to the University.
  • The admission is granted to the candidates as per the availability of vacant seats.
  • After the allotment of seats to the eligible candidates, the waitlisting numbers are given to the candidates who will report to the college.
  • The waitlisted candidates will be granted admission on the basis of cancellation of admission by the candidates admitted through BVP CET 2018 Counselling.
  • After the selection of the desired course, the entire fee must be remitted by the candidate at the time of counselling session itself. The candidate will lose the claim for admission if they fail to deposit the fees.

BVP CET Admit Card 2018

BVP CET admit card 2018 will be issued by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVP) in the month of May, 2018 in online mode only. The admit card of BVP CET 2018 will be issued to the candidates who have successfully submitted the application form. How to Apply for BVP CET 2018

The application form for BVP CET 2018 will be available in online mode.
