Seats will be allocated based on the student's rank, preferences, and availability of seats. There will be three rounds of counselling, the second one being the upgrading round. All rank holders can join the counselling process. OJEE 2026 counselling is being conducted online, and qualified students can participate in the counselling round according to their ranks and schedule. Steps for OJEE 2026 Counselling

1. Online Registration: Register to create your profile on the OJEE website and submit the non-refundable counselling fee (INR 450).
2. Choice Filling/Locking: Prioritise your choice of colleges and branches. You need to lock your preferences; if not, the last saved preferences will be locked automatically.
3. Seat Allotment: Depending on your rank and preference, you will be allotted a seat. You may choose to Freeze (hold) or Float (search for a better seat in the next round).
4. Document Uploading and Payment of Fees: In addition to the part admission fee (generally INR 5,000 to INR 10,000 according to category). You have to upload the necessary papers if you take a seat and pay the rest of the admission fee.
5. Final Reporting: At last, report to the allotted college with your original documents for final admission and verification.
