About Bachelor of Foreign Trade (BFT)

Bachelor of Foreign Trade or BFT is an Undergraduate course in Foreign Trade Management. Those who pursue this programme learn a great deal about the movement of services, goods and capital across International territories and borders. 

The importance of this course has increased manifold in the last few decades or so with the advent of globalisation that has made the international borders porous. After completing BFT, the students will be better equipped with the knowledge that affects the global marketplace. 

There are both Government and Private Institutions in the country that offers Bachelor of Foreign Trade programme in both regular mode and distance mode.

Bachelor of Foreign Trade (BFT) Eligibility Criteria

The students must fulfil the eligibility criteria to be termed fit to apply for Bachelor of Foreign Trade. The Bachelor of Foreign Trade eligibility criteria states that the applicants must be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board/University. Those who have an equivalent educational qualification to the one mentioned above can also apply for Bachelor of Foreign Trade. However, 

  • The minimum aggregate score required to apply for the programme may vary from institution to institution

  • Some institutions simply select students for the Bachelor of Foreign Trade course on the basis of their merit

  • Admission into some institutions may be subject to the applicants clearing the admission-cum-entrance test

Bachelor of Foreign Trade Admission Process

The admission process for Bachelor of Foreign Trade may differ from institution to institution. Some colleges/institutions may take into consideration the aggregate scores of the applicants in their 10+2 qualifying exam for admitting them into the Bachelor of Foreign Trade UG course. Some may have their own entrance exam setup which the applicants have to qualify with the minimum requisite cutoff scores to be eligible to be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Foreign Trade programme.
