There is no official MICAT Syllabus released by the conducting authority i.e MICA. Based on MICAT Previous Year Question Papers and Sample Paper, the section-wise topics have been provided. Almost every management exam has the same syllabus but MICAT is slightly different. Apart from Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, and General Awareness, it has a Psychometric Test, Divergent and Convergent Thinking, and Descriptive Test. In order to qualify in this examination, candidates have to prepare for the same in an organised and systematic manner.
Candidates preparing for MICAT must cover every topic thoroughly in order to score well in the exam. MICAT is not conducted just to offer admission to PGDM-Communications programme of MICA Ahmedabad but it is also a test of candidates' overall ability and skills. So, the candidates who have decided to give the upcoming exam must start preparing after checking the detailed MICAT 2020 Syllabus.

The section aims to assess the personality of the candidate. Applicants are advised to be honest with their answers as more than evaluating the knowledge, this section assesses the personality.
This section is designed to judge the writing, language and communication skills of an individual. Few elements that are kept in mind while assessing the performance of an aspirant are fluency, articulation, language, grammar etc. Applicants need to be creative to attempt this section.
It is the part of Section C of the MICAT Question Paper. Applicants are judged as per their Grammar and Vocabulary. Also, writing skills, vocabulary and language skills are considered while evaluating the performance.
Questions of General Awareness will be designed to check the general knowledge of an individual. Static GK or Current Affairs are also judged of the candidates.
Divergent and Convergent Thinking:

Since MICAT is conducted for admission to the PGDM in Communications course, it is suitable for a candidate who has good writing skills and a flair for creativity. It provides no particular advantage or disadvantage to an engineering or non-engineering student.

The syllabus of Psychometric Test section in MICAT includes three sets of question. It requires candidates to give a rating to certain situations and the other type of questions ask a candidate to analyze certain arguments and provide their responses related to their personality.
