DMLT Course Syllabus & Subjects Overview
The Diploma in Medical Laboratory, popularly known as the DMLT course, is a two-year medical diploma course offered by medical colleges across India. Classed under paramedical sciences, the DMLT course would include subjects and topics highlighting the techniques and methods to test, analyse, interpret and report the results effectively and efficiently. The DMLT syllabus and subject, aim to provide the necessary knowledge and training to carry out such crucial tasks.
Producing skilled and qualified Medical Laboratory Technicians, the 2-year medical diploma course encompasses a variety of medical topics and subjects. Some of the topics that would be taught across different colleges include Fundamentals of MLT, Information and Communication Technology, Metabolic and Technical Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Technical Microbiology and much more. DMLT Course Structure
While the overall course structure is defined by the government medical education body, universities and colleges have the authority to determine the course structure as well. However, the commonly followed course structure for the DMLT syllabus has been outlined in the table below.
