Textile Engineering Course Overview

Textile engineering deals with materials like fibers, cotton, yarns, and other materials used in clothing by-products and accessories. It is mainly concerned with the growth and manufacture of textile fabric used in the garment industry. Textile engineering is a field that involves creating and controlling different aspects of clothing and fabric production. It's a very important field because people all over the world have different customs and needs when it comes to clothing. Textile engineers work on things like designing and controlling the processes used to create fibers, fabrics, and clothing items. They might help with research and development, quality control, and sales.

To gain admission in Textile Engineering, candidates have to score at least 50% marks in class 10+2 with a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Many universities and colleges offer courses in textile engineering such as IIT Delhi, Anna University, ICT Mumbai, and NIT Jalandhar. The Textile Engineering course fees are INR INR 3,00,000 to INR 8,00,000 Per Annum. After the completion of the course, candidates are offered jobs in roles such as Medical Textile Engineer, Production Engineer, and Operation Trainee. The average Textile Engineering Salary is INR 10 Lakh Per Annum.

Quick Facts About Textile Engineering

  • Textile engineering involves the study of how to make better fabrics and materials that are more eco-friendly than plastic products. It's a field that combines different types of engineering to create new and innovative fabrics.
  • This industry has a long history, starting from ancient times when people first started weaving and dyeing fabrics.
  • Today, textile engineers are working on making "smart" fabrics that can have electronics built right into them, which can have applications in healthcare and fashion.
  • They are also using nanotechnology to make fabrics stronger and more durable, while also looking for ways to make the industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
  • Textile engineers test fabrics to make sure they are strong enough and can withstand wear and tear.
  • The industry isn't just about clothes, it also includes medical textiles and fabrics used in construction and even automotive industries.
  • The textile industry is a global industry that affects many different parts of the economy.

What is an Online Textile Engineering Degree?

An online textile engineering degree is a program that allows students to learn about textile engineering in online mode. This type of program is great for people who can't go to a campus to study, or for those who have other commitments in their lives.

What will you learn in an online Textile Engineering program?

  • In an online textile engineering degree program, students learn about many different things related to making textiles.
  • For example, they learn about the science of fibers, how to make textiles, how to make things with plastic, and how to make sure that the textiles are good quality.
  • In their classes, students learn about things that are happening in the real world of textiles.
  • They learn about things like smart textiles (which have special properties like changing color or temperature), nanotechnology (which is really small technology), and how to make textiles in ways that are good for the environment.

Students take classes online, where they watch videos of their teachers and do assignments. They also work with other students online to do group projects. Some online textile engineering programs also have virtual labs where students can do experiments and design things, even if they don't have access to a real lab.

In order to get admission to Allahabad University through JEE Mains there is a certain marks that is required out of 300 to get admission to the university. For courses like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), a score of around 150 to 180 out of 300 is a good chance to get admission to Allahabad University. However, for courses like Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, 120 to 150 marks can be considered as a good score in JEE Mains. Other than this if you are looking category-wise, 120 to 160 marks for OBC 120 to 160 marks can be considered competitive. For the SC category, a score of 70 to 110 can be considered to give you a chance to get admission to Allahabad University. Also Check JEE Main Rank vs College vs Branch Analysis
