About M.Tech in Structural Engineering

M.Tech in Structural Engineering is a specialised engineering degree programme of Civil Engineering. It is a two years postgraduate degree programme that involves the design of the concrete structure, the study of advanced materials and analysis of structures for dynamic forces.

The objective to offer the course is to produce structural engineers who possess design and strong analytical skills and create a safe design. It is for aspirants who seek to grow in the design and construction industry on a higher pedestal.

Candidates who are enrolled in the course acquire knowledge about the materials used to design structure and train individuals on advanced concepts of structural engineering through projects and dissertation work. Analysis and design of structures, repair and rehabilitation of the structure, structural dynamics and earthquake-resistant design of structures and advanced materials are some of the major topics covered in the M.Tech in Structural Engineering course.

It is a practical learning course where students are involved in projects that include Structure Design labs and the latest design software and construction material lab.

Dear Student,

Yes, you can do a course in Aeronautical Engineering with PCB(Physics,Chemistry,Biology). However, some specific courses like B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering require PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths). But, with PCB, you can do a B.Sc. and then take admission in Master's degree (M.Tech) in Aerospace Engineering or other related fields. On the other hand, if you are looking for other options other than Aeronautical Engineering, then you should select a course of your interest. So that you can make a career out of it easily. We hope that we have answered your query successfully. Stay tuned to College Dekho for the latest updates related to admission, counselling and more.

Dear Student,

While GATE exam is the primary mode of admission to M.Tech courses in GSFC University, there are alternative ways too. The university does accept Gujarat PGCET exam scores to M.Tech admission. So, if you have not qualified the GATE exam, you can sit for the PGCET exam and appear for the centralized Admission Committee for Professional Courses (APCP) counselling process. Furthermore, GSFC University also offers direct admission based on merit to some specific programs, like those offered by IITs. We hope this answers your query. Good luck!
