GATE CCMT 2021 - The dates for CCMT 2021 counselling will be noitified soon, and the COAP 2021 counselling has already started. CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Planning) is an online and centralized admission process conducted by NITs. Candidates aspiring for admission in any of the above programmes offered by NITs, 8 IIITs, NIFFT Ranchi, SPA (School of Planning and Architecture) Vijayawada,IIEST Shibpur etc. The candidates can check the complete list of CCMT participating institutes 2021 in this article. Eligibility to Participate in CCMT 2021
Candidates aspiring for admission in M.Plan/ M.Arch/ M.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of CCMT 2021 must satisfy the following eligibility requirements -
Eligibility Rule 1 | The candidates must have a valid GATE score of either current year or last two years (2021/ 2020/ 2019) |
Eligibility Rule 2 | The candidates must have passed the relevant B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan degree with a minimum of 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6 CGPA for Reserved Categories). |
Eligibility Rule 3 | The candidates must note that he/ she is eligible for admission in M.Tech course based on his/her qualifying paper in GATE. |

CCMT 2021 Counselling Process
The counselling process of CCMT 2021 involves different stages, and the candidates are advised to check the detailed process on this page before registering for the same.

Stage 1 - Online Registration
Candidates aspiring to participate in the CCMT counselling 2021 will have to complete the online registration first. The steps involved in the online registration process of CCMT are as follows -
Step 1: Firstly, the candidates will have to pay the registration fee specified by the respective authority. The candidates can pay the fee either digitally or through SBI E-Challan.
Step 2: After the fee payment, the candidates will have to enter his/ her personal, academic, fee payment details.
Step 3: The candidates will have to read all the Terms and Conditions carefully and ‘Agree’ the same.
Step 4: “Submit’ the registration details, and the candidates will receive an SMS and e-mail with regard to registration details, number and password.
Stage 2 - Online Choice Filling and Locking
All the candidates who have successfully completed the registration process will have to log in with the credentials shared on SMS or e-mail. After logging into their account, the candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below -
Step 1: The candidates need to click on ‘Choice Filling’ option.
Step 2: The list of participating institutes and courses will be displayed on the screen. The candidates need to choose the institute and course.
Step 3: There is no limit on the number of choices that candidates can choose, and it is advisable to fill as many choices as possible. When you select an institute, please make sure that you are selecting the course also.
Step 4: After filling the options, the candidates will have to lock and save the choices. Candidates who fail to do so will not be considered for seat allotment.
Step 5: After filling the choices, the candidates will have to take the printout of the same.
Note: The candidates must note that editing of choices can be possible before clicking on ‘Lock’. Once the choices are locked, the candidates can’t edit or change the same.
Stage 3 - Online Seat Allotment
The third stage in the CCMT counselling process is online seat allotment. Candidates will be allocated a seat on the basis his/ her preference while filling the choices and reservation policies. The GATE score is also considered for seat allotment. After the seat allotment, the candidates will see the following options -
Freezing | Candidates can choose this option only if/ he is satisfied with the existing seat allotment. Such candidates will not be eligible for the next round of counselling, as his/her admission shall be confirmed by choosing the option ‘Freezing’. |
Floating | Candidates who are looking for a better option can choose the option ‘Floating’. For such candidates, the allotted seat in the existing round will not be cancelled, and if the allotment is upgraded in the next round, he/ she can go with the better allotment. |
Sliding | Candidates can choose this option only if he/ she is looking for a better course option within the allotted institute. |
Stage 4 - Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee
After the seat allotment, the candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee. The fee can be paid in online mode through SBI-MOPS. The candidates can use Credit/ Debit Card to pay the seat acceptance fee. After the successful payment of the fee, the fee payment receipt shall be generated, and the candidates will have to take the printout of the same.
Stage 5 - Reporting at the Reporting Centre (RC)
After the payment of seat acceptance fee, the candidates will have to report to the respective Reporting Centre. The candidates will have to be ready with all the documents. The following process takes place at the reporting centre -
Step 1 - Document Verification

Step 2: After the document verification, the reporting centre will issue a Document Verification Certificate (DVC).
Stage 6 - Reporting at the Allotted Institute
The candidates will have to download the Provisional Admission Letter through the website of CCMT and report to the allotted institute with all the necessary documents. The list of documents that the candidates need to produce while reporting to the allotted institute are as follows -
