GATE CCMT Counselling 2022

CCMT 2023: The CCMT 2023 Seat Allotment of Special Round 2 will be released on August 9, 2023 in online mode at ccmt.admissions.nic.in. Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur started the CCMT 2023 special round registration on July 25, 2023. The last date to apply for special round Phase 2 is July 30, 2023. The round-wise CCMT 2023 seat allotment was released on the official website after the authorities conduct the registration process for CCMT 2023. Candidates with a valid score in the years 2023, 2022, and 2021 will be eligible to appear for the CCMT 2023 counselling process. 

LATEST: CCMT 2023 Vacant Seats for Special Round Released

CCMT 2023 counselling is conducted for admission in M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ M.Des courses in NITs and other participating institutes of CCMT 2023. CCMT 2023 is the centralized counselling process that shall be executed by MNIT Jaipur. CCMT Counselling 2023 will be conducted for admission in all NITs, IIITs, etc. Candidates are not required to register to individual institutes to appear in interviews or counselling processes. Candidates need to note that the admission will be on the basis of their score in GATE in the order of merit.

GATE CCMT 2023: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates aspiring for admission in M.Plan/ M.Arch/ M.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of CCMT 2023 must satisfy the following eligibility requirements. Candidates should make sure they fulfill all the factors of the CCMT eligibility criteria 2023

GATE Exam Qualification 

The candidates must have a valid GATE score of either the current year or the last two years (2023/ 2022/ 2021). 

The candidates must note that he/ she is eligible for admission in M.Tech course based on/her qualifying paper in GATE.

Educational Qualification 

The candidates must have passed the relevant B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan degree with a minimum of 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6 CGPA for Reserved Categories).

If the result of the qualifying degree is waiting, a candidate may be admitted provisionally if they meet the minimal qualifying degree requirements.

Certification 

Candidates with certificates/qualifications from any professional society who have enrolled at these universities with permanent recognition may be eligible to participate in certain of the PG programmes offered by CCMT such as

  • The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)
  • The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
  • The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
  • The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
  • The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChemE)
  • The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
  • The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIM)
  • The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), etc.

CCMT Seat Allotment 2023

The procedure has been described below that will help the candidates in the process of CCMT 2023 seat allotment. Candidates are advised to check them carefully and follow the same.

CCMT 2023 Counselling/ Admission Process 

With only a few days remaining for the CCMT 2023 counselling registration and choice filling, candidates seeking admission to M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ M.Des course through CCMT 2023 must register online. CCMT 2023 registration will be open till the last week of June, 2023. CCMT registration will be followed by choice locking and seat allotment rounds. Following are the detailed counselling steps of CCMT 2023 that the candidate should refer to.

Step 1- Online Registration

  • Candidates have to register in online mode by visiting the CCMT 2023 portal
  • The registration process for CCMT counselling 2023 will be conducted in online mode
  • Candidates have to provide their basic details that include information about GATE and educational qualifications, mobile number, email address among others
  • Candidates have to create a password at the time of registration which will be used for all their future logins
  • A registration fee is also to be paid by the candidates in order to participate in CCMT 2023

Step 2- Online Choice Filling and Locking

  • Candidates are advised to fill choices for the colleges and specialization as per their preference during CCMT choice filling
  • The choice filling has to be done within fixed dates in online mode by logging in to the candidate portal of CCMT 2023
  • Candidates will see the list of institutes and their specializations as per their rank in GATE (2023/2022/2021)
  • Candidates will be mandated to select the preferences in order of choices and lock them before the conclusive date of choice locking
  • It is extremely essential for the candidates to fill and lock the choices as the allotment of seats will be done based on the choices filled by the candidate by evaluating the score in GATE

Step 3 - Online Seat Allotment

  • The procedure of CCMT 2023 allotment of seats will be done through a centralized seat allotment procedure in online mode
  • Seat allotment is done in the order of merit of GATE score and as per the choices filled by candidates in CCMT counselling 2023
  • The result of the CCMT seat allotment will be published in online mode
  • Candidates will be directed to log in to their candidates portal of CCMT 2023 to review their seat allotment process in online mode

  1. Candidates must cite that three rounds of seat allotment and special round counselling will be conducted by CCMT
  2. Seats that remain vacant in normal rounds and internal sliding are filled through the special round

Step 4- Deposit of Seat Acceptance Fee 

  • Candidates who will be allotted seats during the CCMT 2023 seat allotment round will have to deposit the seat acceptance fees of CCMT 2023 in online mode
  • The payment of seat acceptance fees is obligatory to confirm the seat allotted to the respective candidates

Step 5- Physical Reporting at Reporting Centre

  • Candidates who will be allotted a seat have to pay the seat acceptance fees in consonance with the need to report to the most immediate reporting center for records validation and defining the readiness towards approval or nonacceptance of seat allotted to them
  • Reporting to the reporting center is required for every candidate after the CCMT 2023 allotment of seat and payment of CCMT 2023 seat acceptance fees

Step 6- Document Verification 

  • Candidates have to carry all the documents related to educational qualification, category (if applicable) and other required documents in original and at least two xerox copies of each while reporting got document verification at regional centers
  • The authorized individual will review and verify the authentic documents and will maintain the xerox copies
  • Candidates will be allocated the document verification slip after the successful validation of all required documents

Step 7- Specifying Willingness 

  • Candidates while reporting to the reporting centers, have to determine their willingness for the allotted seat of CCMT 2023
  • Candidates have the following option to exercise: FLOATING, SLIDING, FREEZING
  1. Floating: Candidates who wish to be considered in the next round for all of their better-preferred choices and maintain the currently allotted seat can set the “Floating” option
  2. Sliding: Candidates who wish to be assessed in the next round for their better-preferred options only within the college allotted to them have to select the “Sliding” option
  3. Freezing: Candidates who are pleased with the currently allotted seat and do not want to be evaluated for allotment of better-preferred choices in the succeeding rounds​​

Note: Candidates need to note that if the allotted seat is of better-preferred choice for a candidate who has selected her/his willingness as Floating or Sliding then, she or he will compulsorily relinquish the affirmation on the seat allotted to her or him in the more premature rounds

Step 8- Physical Reporting to the Allotted Institute for Admission

  • The selected candidates will have to report to the allotted institute after the national upgradation round as per the schedule
  • Candidates will be published a provisional allotment letter that they have to download from their candidate portal of CCMT 2023
  • Candidates have to bring the document verification slip received from the reporting center and the downloaded provisional allotment letter while reporting to the allotted institute
  • Candidates must note that they must report to the allotted institute within the stipulated due date, which will be cited in their CCMT 2023 provisional allotment letter, failing which their seat will get counterbalanced
