About Diploma in Advanced Accounting

Diploma in Advanced Accounting (DAA) is a four-year diploma course in which students learn about the objective of imparting a comprehensive understanding of all the different areas of accounting and taxation. During the coursework, students learn the basics of accounting and related fields, and will gradually move toward advanced and detailed topics. Diploma in Advanced Accounting also teaches students how to prepare financial statements, and how to interpret them, intermediate accounting, management accounting, and accounts receivables and payables.

Diploma in Advanced Accounting Eligibility Criteria

When talking about admissions for a particular course at colleges across the country, listing down criteria that fit every college is not possible. So, candidates can check out the common eligibility criteria for Diploma in Advanced Accounting below:

  • Candidates must have completed an intermediate level of education or equivalent from a recognised board.

  • There is no specific stream requirement for this programme, as such. But, candidates who have completed 10+2 with Commerce might get preference over other students.

  • Some colleges may require candidates to have studied Mathematics in Class 12 as a compulsory subject. 

  • For some colleges, candidates will have to qualify in entrance examinations.

Diploma in Advanced Accounting Admission Process

Admission to most of the colleges in Diploma in Advanced Accounting course is done on the basis of merit, i.e. candidates performance in 10+2. For this, candidates simply have to apply to the college or university. After the board results are out, the colleges will release their cut-off scores.
