About MU-OET 2018

Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) 2018 is an undergraduate entrance exam conducted by Manipal University. It is a national-level exam, which takes place in approx 50 cities across the country. While Manipal University invites candidates to take admission into various programmes at the UG and PG level, the exam conducted for B.Tech programmes is the most popular one. The MU OET 2018 is a gateway for the candidates to 16 B.Tech courses offered by different colleges under Manipal University. These institutes include Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim and Manipal University Jaipur. Candidates are allowed to give the entrance exam as many as three times, as specified by the University. MU OET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the MU OET 2018 application form for B.Tech, candidates must go through the required eligibility criteria for MU OET 2018. MU OET 2018 eligibility criteria consist of the required Educational Qualifications of the candidates. The eligibility criteria issued by Manipal University for MU-OET candidates are mentioned below:

  • Candidate must have cleared their 10+2or A Levelor IB or American 12th grade or equivalent with compulsory subjects including Mathematics, Physics and English along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects (as optional) with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the above optional subjects.

  • Admission of the candidates will be on the basis of their All India rank in the Manipal Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2018.

  • It is important for the candidates to secure at least 50% in the MU-OET 2018.

  • Foreign/NRI Category: Candidates belongs to Foreign/NRI category, their admissions will be done on the basis of their marks secured in the qualifying examination.

MU OET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern will give students an idea of how exactly the paper will be framed. To qualify the exam, candidate should know and understand the exam pattern and syllabus. How to Prepare for MU OET 2018

For MU OET 2018, candidates should have a good hold on Physics and Mathematics along with English and General Knowledge. To prepare well, students must be well versed with their 10th and 12th subjects.

Important Instructions for MU OET 2018

  • Candidates must reach the test centre before the reporting time mentioned in the MU OET admit card because of the pre-test procedure including registration and on-site orientation.

  • If for some reason, candidates reach after the on-site orientation has begun, he/she will not be permitted to appear for the test.

  • Candidates must register their names at the registration counter of the centre where their admit cards will also be verified.

  • Candidates are advised to enter the examination hall at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

  • Candidate must remember that they are not allowed to bring any printed or written material or any rough pages, to the exam hall.

  • Candidates are also not permitted to carry slide rules, calculators, electronic watches with facilities of calculators, palmtop computers or laptop, mobile phones, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets, paging devices or any other object/device.

  • Once the candidate starts the test, he/she will not be allowed to go outside the examination hall for the entire test duration.

  • If the candidate leaves the hall, he/she will not be permitted to return, under any circumstances.

  • Smoking in the examination hall is strictly punishable. Coffee, tea, cold drinks or snacks are also not allowed inside the exam hall.

  • During the test, candidates must maintain proper silence.

  • The examination hall is monitored by web cameras and closed-circuit TV cameras and any disturbance/disruption by any candidate is treated as misconduct and can result in unwanted consequences.

  • If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating any other candidate, his/her application will be cancelled and he or she will be banned from taking the examination permanently or for a specified period.

  • The Manipal University holds the right to withhold the result of such candidates.

  • At the end of the test, Candidate must sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. The invigilator will also put his/her signature in the given place in the admit card.

MU OET 2018 Result

The MU OET 2018 result was declared by Manipal University on 3rd May 2018. Candidates who appeared for the MU OET 2018 exam, can check the result online on the University's official website. MU OET 2018 Counselling Process

The MU OET 2018 counselling process has started for the qualified candidates. The first round of the MU OET 2018 counselling started from 28th May and ended on 6th June, 2018. The first round of the counselling process was for the purpose of registration for the qualified candidates. It also included choice filling and fee submission by the candidates.

There are six more rounds planned for the MU OET 2018 counselling takers. These rounds are same as the first round and have been scheduled based on the ranks of the candidates. The Intra Institute Counselling and Spot Round Counselling will be conducted at the specified institutions.

  • Candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the time of counselling.

  • The fee must be paid in offline mode through Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Manipal Academy of Higher Education’ payable at Manipal or Udupi (Karnataka). Alternatively, the fee can also be paid through RTGS/NEFT transfer.

  • The payment in instalments is not permitted. If you don’t pay the first year fees on the day of counselling then there are chances of your candidature getting cancelled by the University.

  • Admission order/Provisional Admission Order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidates on completion of the admission process.

MU OET Admit Card 2018
