About B.Tech Railway Engineering

B.Tech Railway Engineering is a branch of Civil Engineering that teaches the students about the construction, location and maintenance of railways. After graduating, the task of a Railway Engineer is to design, maintain, construct and operate various rail and trains system including controlling and monitoring the rail and trains network. Due to the expensive and complicated system of the railways, a specialist with an in-depth knowledge of the propulsion systems who also possess mechanical design skills is required all the time. 

Although a railway engineer faces a variety of challenges, the railway sector is a highly rewarding and credible field. Within the public or private sector, a railway engineer is usually found involved with the operation of trains, maintenance, construction and designing of the infrastructure that is necessary for the railways.
