FTII JET 2024 Exam Pattern

FTII JET 2024 exam pattern will allow the candidates to know the exam structure and type of questions that will be covered in the exam. FTII JET 2024 is conducted by the  Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI). The exam is conducted in offline mode every year. Candidates who are appearing for the examination can check the exam pattern of FTII JET 2024 before registering for the exam.

The FTII JET 2024 exam is a written test of 3 hours and it consists of two papers. The total marks on the FTII JET exam are 100, which is divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the exam. There are three types of questions included in the FTII JET 2024 question paper, Multiple Choice Questions, Multiple Choice Questions, and Descriptive Answer Questions. Important Points to Remember for Paper I (Part-B)

  • Each question will have four options. ONE OR MORE THAN ONE of these four options will be the correct option(s).
  • For each question, candidates will choose the option(s) corresponding to (all) the correct answer(s)
  • Answers to each question will be evaluated according to the following marking scheme;
    • Full Marks: +2 if only (all) the correct option(s) is (are) chosen
    • Partial Marks: +1.5 if all four options are correct but ONLY three correct options are chosen.
    • Partial Marks: +1 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct.
    • Partial Marks: +0.5 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is the correct option.
    • Zero Marks: 0 if none of the options is chosen (i.e the question is unanswered).
    • Negative Marks: - 0.25 in all other cases.

Important Points to Remember for Paper II

  • This section is designed to test the ability and aptitude of a candidate in the specific field of cinematic expression.
  • A maximum of 4 questions are to be answered in Paper II, i.e. the Long Descriptive Question and a maximum of 3 questions from the Descriptive Questions & Short Note Questions, of which a maximum of 6 will be present on the question paper.

Candidates will receive the Question and Answer booklet for Paper I 10 minutes prior to the scheduled exam time and the same will have to be submitted back 90 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

For Paper II, candidates will receive the Question and Answer booklet only after 80 minutes of exam commencement, and the same will have to be submitted immediately after 180 minutes of exam commencement.
