NEET PG Result has been released by the NBEMS on August 19, 2025, along with the category-wise cutoff. The scorecard of the exam has been published on August 29, 2025. The NEET PG 2025 Exam was conducted on August 3, 2025. The NBE will use the normalisation method for NEET PG, as used by AIIMS for the INI CET exam. Steps to Check NEET PG Results

Students must visit the official website and download the NEET PG results. Students can go through the steps below to download the results from the official webpage. 

1. Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Board of Examinations (NBE) at nbe.edu.in.
2. Step 2: On the homepage, students must click on the "NEET PG" tab.
3. Step 3: Select "NEET PG result" from the dropdown menu.
4. Step 4: Students must enter their application number and password to log in.
5. Step 5: The NEET PG result will appear on the screen.
6. Step 6: Students must check their score, rank, and other details mentioned in the result.
7. Step 7: Download and take a printout of the result for future reference.

Validity of NEET PG Result

The result of NEET PG will be valid only for one academic session. Students are not allowed to carry forward the NEET PG Result to the next session. Hence, the NEET PG Result will be valid only for the 2025-26 session. That means, if students wish to take admission in the next session, they will have to reappear for the NEET PG exam.

How to Calculate NEET PG Score?

The NEET PG Result will be calculated based on the number of correct responses opted by the students. To understand the result analysis of NEET PG, it is important to understand the exam pattern and the marking scheme of the same. The NEET PG 2025 exam had 200 multiple-choice questions in total, for a maximum of 800 marks. Every question was provided with 4 options to choose from the correct answer. There is negative marking for incorrect responses in NEET PG 2025.

Types of NEET PG Result

NEET PG result comprises scores that are used by medical colleges to assign seats to aspirants based on different reservation criteria. NBE issues 2 types of NEET PG result in order to facilitate admission to post-graduate courses across different medical colleges pan India. The two types of NEET PG results are:

NEET PG Result for 50% AIQ seats

Under this list of NEET PG result, candidates are offered seats to colleges that fall under 50% All India Quota seats. Admission to these seats is determined by grades earned, AIQ rank, reservation criteria, choices made, and seat availability. An important point to note is that the minimum qualifying percentile is kept the same as the cutoff for admission to AIQ 50 per cent seats.

NEET PG Result for State quota seats

In this type of NEET PG result, authorities determine the eligibility for state quota seats. Unlike the 50% AIQ seats, here, the decision regarding the NEET PG counselling 2025 admission is taken by the respective state authorities. No other officials have the control to allocate MD/MS/PG diploma seats except the state.
