To be eligible for BITSAT 2026, you need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for B.Pharm) from a recognised board. BITS requires a minimum 75% aggregate in these subjects, and each subject must be passed individually with not less than 60%. Knowing these prerequisites is the first step in acquiring a seat at the Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad campuses.

As per the Direct Admission Policy of BITSAT, if you top in the science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology in Standard 12, you are eligible for admission under the ‘Direct admission to Board toppers’ scheme. Students with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible for admission in B. Pharma only. The evaluating criteria of the toppers have been enumerated below -
The topper should have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in Standard 12.
You must have secured the highest aggregate percentage in Class 12 amongst all other students having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in Standard 12. The aggregate marks will be calculated taking into consideration all the subjects that are required to clear the class 12 examination from a recognized board. The marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects must be included in the aggregate irrespective of whether they are treated as major/optional/ elective subjects in the scorecard.
As per the declaration of the Board, this admission offer is only open to the students who have secured the first position on the board. Applicants availing this scheme are required to provide documentary proof supporting their claim along with a class 10 scorecard, class 12 mark sheet, a letter issued by the Board declaring the student as the topper of the specific stream in the class 12 examination, documents about extracurricular activities, etc. The admission committee might decide not to make an offer under this scheme in case the data available for a particular board before the specified deadline is insufficient or incoherent. In such scenarios, the final decision will lie in the hands of the Vice-chancellor.
