B.Tech programme or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated) in Photonics or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated) in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Mathematics (5-Year Integrated), M.Sc. in Chemistry (5-Year Integrated) and M.Sc. in Physics (5-Year Integrated)
Below is a quick overview of the exam pattern for majority of the B.Tech programme or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated) in Photonics or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated) in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Mathematics (5-Year Integrated), M.Sc. in Chemistry (5-Year Integrated) and M.Sc. in Physics (5-Year Integrated) -
The examination will contain 225 objective type multiple choice questions based on class 12 syllabus.
Out of these 225 questions, 90 will be from Mathematics, 75 from Physics and 50 from Chemistry.
The examination will be held for 3 hours.
The medium of the question paper is in the English language.
There will be a set of questions to be asked about the various topics mentioned in each part of the syllabus.
Questions will be prepared according to the syllabus and equal weight will be given to all the topics.
Each question will be awarded 3 marks for the correct answer and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
There will be no deduction for unanswered questions.
Note: Applicants applying for the B.Tech programme or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated ) in Photonics or M.Sc (Five Year Integrated ) in Computer Science will have to score a minimum of 10 marks in Mathematics and 10 marks combined from Physics and Chemistry subjects to qualify for the CUSAT CAT ranking list.
However, this requirement will not be applicable for those who come under the Kerala Scheduled Caste and Kerala Scheduled Tribe communities.
