The HP CET result 2026 will be declared on the official website of Himachal Pradesh Technical University by May 2026. The result of HPCET 2026 usually contains the section-wise and total marks secured by the students in HP CET 2026.To access the HP CET 2026 result, students have to either enter their HP CET 2026 roll number or name. Step 2: Click on the link available to access the HPCET 2026 Result.

Step 3: A new page will open where you have to enter your login credentials, i.e. HPCET 2026 Roll number or Name, to proceed further.

Step 4: The result of HPCET 2026 will appear on your screen.

Step 5: Download and take a print copy of the HPCET 2026 result for future use.

HPCET 2026 Result - Tie Breaking Guidelines

There may arise instances wherein two or more candidates obtain the same aggregate marks in the HPCET 2026 exam. In such cases, the authorities will follow the guidelines provided below to break the tie. 

• The students with higher marks in the subject of Physics will be ranked higher.
• If Physics scores are equal, then higher Chemistry marks will be the determining factor.
• When both Physics and Chemistry marks are the same, the marks in the third subject will be compared.
• If the tie persists, the class 12 qualifying examination marks will come into play during counselling if not provided in the HPCET 2026 application.
• If the qualifying exam marks are also identical, candidates' dates of birth will be taken into consideration, with older students getting priority in rankings.

HPCET Merit List 2026

The merit list of HPCET 2026 is going to be declared after the selection process of the university is over. HPCET 2026 merit list will be prepared by the concerned authorities on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the qualifying exam or national level entrance exam. The merit list of HPCET 2026 will consist of the names of the qualified candidates in HPCET 2026 who will be later called for the counselling and seat allotment session.
