About MDU CEE 2018

Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak organises entrance exams for admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses. MDU entrance exam is organised separately for B.Pharm, M.F.A (6 years), M.Sc, M.Com, M.P.Ed, MBA 2-year, M.A courses. These entrance exams are organised every year by MDU and on the basis of the entrance tests, admission is granted to the aspirants. There is a common entrance test for all the M.Sc & M.Pharm courses, which will be organised in the month of June. ‚ÄčAdmission to B.Tech course is done on the basis of HSTES counselling as well as a valid score in JEE Main. M.Tech admission is based on a valid GATE score.

MDU CEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

MDU entrance test 2018 eligibility criteria is prescribed by the exam conducting authority. Applicants have to check the MDU entrance test 2018 eligibility norms prior to filling the application form. The eligibility criteria of MDU entrance test 2018 differs from course to course, therefore, applicants must carefully go through the eligibility norms. Mentioned below are the eligibility norms that applicants must check in order to appear for the entrance exam.

  • Students should have a Bachelor's degree/Shastri examination (New Scheme) of three years duration with at least 45% for (M.A (all branches), Law, M.F.A (6 year), M.Com) and 50% for M.Sc (all branches) marks in aggregate or any other examination recognised by M.D. University, Rohtak as equivalent thereto.

  • M.P.Ed: Candidates should have passed B.P.Ed. 1 year, 2 years and 3 years with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

  • B.Pharm and M.Sc. (Hons.): Applicants should have 5-Year Integrated Mathematics:- 10+2 examination of the Board of School Education, Bhiwani or any other Board/University, recognised by this University, with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, viz. Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/ Computer Science securing 50% marks in the above subjects taken together.

M.Pharm (Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology)

Applicants should have passed B. Pharm with minimum 50% marks or any other examination and valid GPAT score.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology /Computer Science) with 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level.

M.P.Ed

Applicants should have a B.P.Ed or B.Sc. Physical Education, Health & Sports with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.

  • Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

  • There is negative marking for M.sc Forensic Sciences and Chemistry, Physics. ¼ Marks (0.25 marks) for each wrong answer is deducted.

MDU CEE 2018 Result

The MDU entrance test results 2018 are likely to be announced in the month of July. The result of MDU entrance exam is usually available in online mode on the official website of MDU. Candidates should note that no hard copies of the result are dispatched. Candidates have an option to download the scorecard of MDU 2018 by entering their registered User ID and Password. After the declaration of MDU entrance test results, the merit list of candidates is published as per the marks secured by them.

Steps to Download MDU CEE 2018 Result

  • Log on to the official website of MDU University.

  • Click on the 'Result' tab.

  • Then, click on the tab indicating 'MDU Entrance Test 2018 Result'.

  • Enter your Registration No/ User ID, Roll Number, Mobile Number, and Password, which is available on your admit card.

  • After providing the requisite details, click on the 'Submit' tab.

  • After that, you will be directed to the next page wherein MDU entrance test 2018 result will appear on your screen.

  • Then, click on 'Save' tab for downloading the result.

  • Take a print-out and keep a copy of the result in your system for future reference.

MDU CEE 2018 Cut-off

MDU cut-off is released in online mode on the official website of University. The university issues the cut-off list before the counselling process. MDU 2018 cut-off is the minimum score obtained by the candidates to qualify the entrance examination. The MDU 2018 cut-off is different for different streams and colleges. Other than this, MDU cut-off depends on various factors such as:

  • Total number of candidates who appeared in the exam

  • Number of candidates who successfully qualified the exam

  • Total number of vacant seats

  • Difficulty level

  • Marks/Rank secured by the candidates

  • Participating colleges/institutes seats

MDU CEE 2018 Counselling

Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak organises a counselling process for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. The counselling process usually starts after the declaration of results. The shortlisted candidates have to visit the official website of the university and confirm the date of the counselling.

Detailed MDU CEE 2018 Counselling Procedure

  • Candidates are invited for counselling on the basis of their performance in the entrance test.

  • It is mandatory for all the eligible candidates to appear before the counselling committee personally for verification of documents and checking of eligibility

  • The students must strictly adhere to the given counselling schedule for admission.

  • Candidates are called for counselling one by one in order of merit.

  • Candidates' preference for any Course/Dept./Institute/College at the time of counselling will be considered final.

  • In case a candidate is not able to get a seat in the college as per his/her preference, he/ she may choose to be wait-listed. However, such aspirants will have to appear again as a fresh candidate in the next counselling and he/she is considered for admission as per the merit subject to availability of seats at that time he/she reports for counselling.

  • The counselling will be over once all the seats in each category are filled.

  • No relaxation is given if a candidate fails to appear before the counselling committee on the fixed date/time.

  • Candidate admitted as per their allotted seats during the counselling need to deposit the fee on the date of counseling itself with the University Cashier/Bank.

  • Remaining vacant seats after every round of counselling, is displayed on the Notice Board of the Department/Institutes.

  • Those candidates who do not get admission in one round of counselling have to be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds if seats are available.

  • Admissions for Kashmiri Migrants/NRIs/sports quota/ cultural activities quota/any other reserved quota are done on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination. However, other candidates can be considered for these seats if the candidates in these categories are not available.

  • Candidates have to be present for the counselling with all the required certificates/documents/ testimonials in original, along with one set of self-attested photocopies.

How to Apply for MDU CEE 2018

The MDU application can be filled in two ways:

  • The prospectus can be obtained from the Deputy Registrar (Publication Cell), M.D. University, Rohtak either in person or by paying INR 150/- in cash for reference.

Or

  • It can be downloaded for free from the University’s website, i.e. www.mdurohtak.ac.in.

  • The prospectus is also available on cash payment at the University Institute of Law and Management Studies, Sector 40, Gurugram.

Online Application Form

To fill MDU entrance exam application form 2018 online, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:

Registration:

  • Log on to the official website of MDU, i.e http://www.mdurohtak.ac.in/

  • Click on 'Admission' tab and then on the online 'Application Form' tab.

  • Enter basic details such as Address, Mobile number, Landline number and E-mail address carefully. Please note that filling of star (*) marked fields is compulsory.

  • The application form cannot be submitted unless the mandatory fields are filled.

  • The University uses these details to contact you for future references.

  • The University is not liable for miss-delivery of information due to mistakes in Address, Mobile number, Landline number, or E-mail address etc.

Filling up Basic Details:

In this step, you have to provide your personal and Educational details such as Name, Parent's and Guardian's name, Aadhaar Card number, Address, Gender, Nationality, class 10 and 12 marks, Graduation Marksheet percentage and so on.

After filling all the details, you are required to recheck all the details and verify them with original documents.

Then click on 'Save and Submit' tab.

Uploading of Documents:

  • After submitting the MDU application form, you will be asked to upload some documents like Photograph and Signature.

  • You must upload your Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression in .jpg format only as per the following specifications.

  • Size of the Photo image must be less than 50 KB.
  • Size of the Signature image must be less than 30 KB.
  • Size of Thumb Impression must be less than 50 KB.

Payment of Application Fee:

  • In this step, you have to pay the application fee via e-challan, internet banking, debit card/credit card.

  • If you are paying through via e-challan when the e-challan has been generated, make the payment as soon as possible on or before the validity of challan to avoid hassles.
