The syllabus of NMAT is set by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
The NMAT syllabus contains three sections -- Logical Reasoning, Language Skills and Quantitative Skills.
The language skills section tests the English comprehension ability of a candidate. The topics included in its syllabus are Reading Comprehension, Antonyms and Synonyms, Cloze Test, Error Identification etc.
The NMAT Logical Reasoning section contains questions from a wide range of topics including Syllogisms, Coding-Decoding, Statements and Assumptions, Classifications, Direction, Series etc.
The Quantitative Skills section in NMAT covers topics from Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Interpretation and Modern Math topics such as Set Theory, Permutation & Combination etc.
No. Out of the 120 questions asked in the NMAT exam, 32 are from Language Skills, 40 from Logical Reasoning and 48 from Quantitative Aptitude.
Candidates must ensure that they cover each and every topic in the NMAT exam syllabus. Every mark is important in a highly competitive exam like NMAT and any topics left out can land you on a lower score.

Computer-Based Testing (CBT) is one of a method wherein the responses are electronically recorded, assessed or both. CBT is administered at a pre-determined testing location. For Computer-Based Testing, test takers do not need to have prior computer experience to use it. Before starting the exam, test takers will receive a brief introductory tutorial that will instruct them on how to use the computer to answer questions and review responses and no typing skills are needed as such for this.
The computerized test usually takes less time to complete the exam as there are no test booklets and answer sheets to manage and no need to transfer answers manually to an answer sheet in the computer-based test.
The logical reasoning section of NMAT by GMAC tests candidates reasoning and analytical abilities. Questions from this section are based on Syllogisms, Venn Diagram, Clocks and calendars, Coding and series etc.
