The State Bank of India has declared the SBI PO 2019 exam pattern on its official site for the aspirants of the exam. The exam pattern declared, reveals the structure of the question paper. It tells how the question paper will be framed and how it should be answered to secure more marks for the final selection. The number of questions, number of sections, total number of marks, marks per section, marks per question, time allotment for each section, the total duration of the exam, mode of examination, etc., are covered in the exam pattern description.
The SBI PO 2019 is an online examination that takes place in three different stages to select the best candidates for the different Probationary Officer posts available in the various branches of State Bank of India spread across the nation. The stages defined are – Preliminary or Prelims, Mains and Group Exercise and Interview. The SBI PO 2019 Prelims has been scheduled to start from 8th June to 16th June 2019. The Mains exam will respectively take place on 20th July 2019. Its high time for the test seekers to sum up with their exam preparation as only a few days are left for the Prelims to take place.
Before the candidates start with their final touch preparation they are advised to go through the exam pattern of SBI PO 2019 Prelims and Mains exam. This will help them to understand the setting of the questions and the total time in which they should complete their exam. With this knowledge, preparation can become easy and quick as the focus of preparation can now be distributed equally for all the defined sections of the SBI PO Prelims and Mains exam. The three phases of this national-level recruitment exam for Probationary Officers has been explained below. Take a look at these details and prepare accordingly for a better result.
Phase I: Preliminary Exam
The exam will be of 1 hour duration.
The preliminary exam will consist of 3 sections-English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.
The total marks allotted is 100.
Note: Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests will be shortlisted for the Main examination.
Phase II: Mains Exam
The exam will be of 3 hours duration.
The Main exam consists of 4 sections carrying a total of 200 marks.
The test will have separate timing for every section.
Phase III: Group Exercises and Interview
The qualifying marks in Group Exercises and Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Candidates qualifying for Group Exercises and Interview under the 'OBC' category would be required to submit OBC certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause. Candidates not submitting the OBC certificate containing the 'Non Creamy layer' clause and requesting to be interviewed under General category will not be entertained.

There will be negative marking for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.
For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no negative marking for that question.
