NEET PG 2021 cut-off has will be announced with the result. On the basis of the cut-off, candidates are shortlisted for the counselling process. However, meeting the cut-off list does not guarantee a medical seat. Candidates will have to participate in the counselling process and after that, admission will be given on the basis of the candidate’s merit and preference.

The cut-off for NEET PG 2021 is already available in the percentile format. However, the equivalent marks to the cut-off percentile can only be deduced after the declaration of result.
This means, in order to qualify for NEET PG 2021, an applicant has to score a minimum of 44 percentile if he/she belongs to the general category. PwD candidate must score a minimum of 39 percentile and 34 percentile is applicable for SC/ST and OBC category candidates for qualifying the exam. Earlier, the cutoffs for these categories were 50, 45 and 40, respectively.
The corresponding marks to the qualifying percentile depend on two factors-the number of test-takers and their relative performance.
The Central Government in accordance with the Medical Council of India (MCI) decreases the NEET PG 2021 cut-off in cases when the number of applicants who have qualified the exam falls short of the number required in a particular category. This type of situation arises when enough candidates do not qualify the exam as compared to the number of seats available or candidates do not take part in the admission process. Last year, NEET PG cut-off had a reduction by 15 percentile in each category.
