OJEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

OJEE 2026 Registration is active now. The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Authority issued the application form on 28 January 2026. The OJEE 2026 registration deadline is March 22, 2026. The committee has also declared the OJEE eligibility criteria for 2026 along with the 'Information Brochure'. The eligibility factor defines the norms that you must meet to apply successfully for the OJEE 2026 exam. These norms mostly include academic requirements that each interested aspirant must possess.

The OJEE 2026 eligibility criteria vary for various undergraduate and graduate programmes. Applicants who want to take admission to an undergraduate course must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or have a 10+2 diploma. Likewise, applicants who want to take admission to postgraduate courses offered via OJEE must have graduated from an accredited board or institution with a degree in a related specialisation. Applicants who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible. For lateral admission, you need to hold a diploma in a related field.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility for Admission to Pharmacy Courses

    • 10+2 passed or appearing applicants in 2026, in the science exam of CHSE, Odisha, or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with one of the subjects from Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject. The applicant should have passed the individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of applicants belonging to the SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

    • There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2026 for admission into Pharmacy courses.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Courses

    10+2 Passed or appearing Applicants in 2026, in the science examination of CHSE, Odisha, or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category applicants and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST Applicants.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: M.Tech/M.Tech (PT)/M.Pharm/M.Arch - M.Tech (Regular)

    • Bachelor's degree passed or appearing in 2026 (B.Tech)/M.Sc. in the relevant field from any University of Odisha or from an AICTE-approved Institute or from a recognised University as defined by UGC.

    • The applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in the case of an applicant belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

    • There is no age limit for admission to the M.Tech (Regular) course.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: M.Tech (Part-Time)

    • Applicants must have passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination in the relevant discipline/field/programme from any University of Odisha or from an AICTE-approved Institute or from a recognised University as defined by the UGC.

    • A minimum of Two years of full-time work experience in a registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and/or Government/Autonomous organisation in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

    • There is no age limit for admission to the M.Tech (Part-Time) course.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: M.Arch

    • Passed or appearing in the 2026 Bachelor’s degree examination in the relevant field of Architecture from any University of Odisha or an AICTE approved Institute or from a recognised University as defined by UGC.

    • The applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in the case of an applicant belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

    • There is no age limit for admission to the M.Arch course.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility M.Plan

    • Must have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Planning, Civil Engineering or a Master’s Degree in Economics, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Statistics, and Social Work with a specialisation in Community Development and Rural Development.

    • Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of Applicants belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: Integrated MBA

    • 10+2 Passed or appearing Applicants in 2026, in the examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent. The Applicant should have passed all the individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of Applicants belonging to the SC/ST category) in all the subjects taken together.

    • There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2026 for admission into Integrated MBA courses.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: MBA

    • Passed or appearing in 2026, Bachelor’s degree examination of a minimum of three years' duration from any University of Odisha or from a recognised University as defined by UGC/AICTE.

    OR

    • Passed or appearing in 2026 for the Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy examination of a minimum of four/five years' duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or a recognised University as defined by UGC/AICTE.

    • The applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in the case of an applicant belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

    • There is no age limit for admission to the MBA course.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: Master's degree in Computer Applications

    • Passed or appearing in 2026, Bachelor’s degree examination of minimum three years' duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognised University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at the 10+2 level or at Graduate Level.

    • Business Mathematics at the 10+2 level is not permitted.

    • Applicant should have obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of an applicant belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination.

    • Applicant must have passed BCA/B.Sc. (IT/CS/IST/ITM) with mathematics as a subject; he/she may appear for the entrance test without Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

    • There is no age limit for admission to the MCA course.

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: Master in Computer Applications under Lateral Entry to 2nd year

    • Passed or appearing in 2026, Bachelor’s degree examination of minimum three years duration in BCA, B. Sc. (IT/ Computer Science/ IST/ ITM) from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at the 10+2 level is not permitted.

    • Applicant should have obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of the applicant belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination.

    • Applicants who have graduated from BCA, B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM) with mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 or graduation level in approved institutes of other states are allowed to take admission in Private colleges as per their OJEE rank.

    • There is no age limit for admission into the 2nd year of MCA under the Lateral Entry course. 

    OJEE 2026 Eligibility: 2nd-year Degree courses in Engineering/ Technology under Lateral Entry for B.Sc./+3 Sc. students

    • Passed or appearing in 2026, Bachelor’s degree examination of three years' duration in Science from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC. The OJEE B Tech lateral entry eligibility criteria require you to complete your diploma with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of Applicants belonging to the ST/SC category) and must have passed the XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

    Ojee 2026 Eligibility: Domicile Field

    Here are the essential rules for domicile admission in 2026. The OJEE 2026 board also imposes strict domicile rules, apart from academic qualifications. The criteria decide your eligibility to join a particular institute based on your place of residence.

    1. Odisha State Domicile (S): The student should be a permanent resident of Odisha or be staying in Odisha.
    2. Outside State Domicile (ZZ): Applicants from outside Odisha are also eligible to apply. However, they can apply to private colleges ONLY (for 1st-year B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, etc.). Students outside Odisha are not allowed to take admission in the Government College or for Lateral Entry courses.
    3. Only Exception: B.CAT applicants from Odisha or out of state can apply to Cinematography, Editing, or Sound Design for all seats.
    4. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs): In both the Government and Private institutions for the NRI quota (usually 5% of the sanctioned intake), as per state norms.

    Points to Note:

    1. OJEE 2026 has no age limit in the entrance examination. Only for B.Tech (Marine Engineering), the age of the candidate should be under 25 years at the time of admission. 
    2. Applicants who are going to appear for their final qualifying exam (10+2, Diploma, or Degree) in 2026 can also apply for the OJEE 2026 examination. 
    3. Their result will be provisional, and they are required to submit their original mark sheet at the time of counselling (July/August).
    4. JEE Main or NEET clarification should be noted. For 1st-year B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, and BAMS, the entrance test will not be conducted by OJEE in 2026. Applicants for these shall qualify through JEE Main 2026 or NEET UG 2026. 

    OJEE 2026 Reservation Criteria

    The reservation would be given to a certain category of people who are considered to belong to the reserved category. OJEE has multiple categories of reservation policies:

    Odisha State Category:

    1. Green Card Holders
    2. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes
    3. Persons with Disability
    4. Ward of Ex-Serviceman and native of Odisha
    5. Tuition Waiver Scheme
    6. Women applicants
    7. Odiya Speaking applicants but residing outside Odisha
    8. Non-Resident Indians
    9. Outside State Category

    In order to get admission under any of these reserved categories, the applicants must know the conditions and must be aware of the important factors about each of the categories. During OJEE counselling the applicants will be asked to produce some documents proving the reservation of the applicants.

    In order to claim the reservation, the applicants will have to satisfy all the requirements of the eligibility criteria. The applicants must know that different reserved categories have different percentages of reservation. 

    OJEE Reservation - Important Points

    • There is the provision of lateral entry in OJEE but there is no reservation under OJEE lateral entry. The lateral entry is available only for Engineering and Technology. 
    • One who wishes to avail the OJEE reservation policy must fulfil the OJEE Reservation Criteria. If the reserved category applicant fails to satisfy the other eligibility criteria required for reservation, then they will not be able to claim their reservation, and their application form will be rejected. 
    • Persons with disability and women applicants are not allowed to apply for “Mining Engineering Courses”
    • After the selection procedure is done, a separate merit list will be published for the applicants of OJEE. 
    • All the applicants who claim admission through the reservation category must be able to produce all the required documents.

    OJEE Reserved Seats

    • Seats are reserved for different categories across institutes and colleges for admission through OJEE 2026.
    • These seat reservations are subject to change as per the decision of State Government will be final.

    Steps to apply for OJEE 2026 exam

    • Go to the official link for the OJEE application form 2026 https://ojee.nic.in/
    • Select the “Candidate’s Registration for OJEE-2026” option.
    • Click on "View More".
    • Under Candidate Activity Board, click again on "Candidate’s Registration for OJEE-2026".
    • Click 'OK' on the pop-up button.
    • Open the Registered Candidate "Sign In".
    • Scroll down and click on “Fresh Candidate Registration".
    • Read the Instructions and Procedure for the online submission of the Application Form.
    • Click on “I Agree”.
    • Open the Content form and click on 'Check all & Agree'.
    • Click on the confirm pop-up and enter "Yes".

    Key Points to Register in OJEE 2026

    • Cost of application for FORM A, B, C, D, F (Single) - INR 1000/-

    • Cost of Application for FORM E - INR 1500/-

    • Applicants can apply for OJEE 2026 only online.

    • Applicants must retain a printout of the computer-generated Confirmation Page of the application form and proof of fee payment as a reference for future correspondence.

    • The fee can be remitted through either of the following ways:

    1. By debit card/credit card (Visa/Master/Maestro cards/Internet Banking), or
    2. Remittance through E-challan by deposit in the OJEE-2026 Bank Account with the State Bank of India (State Bank Collect).
    3. If the applicant decides to pay the fee in offline mode, he/she must choose the bank for depositing the fee through E-challan after filling up the online application form. There will be two copies of the E-challan: (1) Bank Copy, (2) Candidate copy - printed on a single page.
    • After depositing the fee in the bank by using E-challan, applicants have to log in again to take a printout of the confirmation page.

    • The final confirmation page can be printed after 2 working days of payment.

    • Applicants should provide all the authentic details while filling up the online form. 

    • Applicants must fill in the particulars online and also upload his/her Photograph, full Signature, and Left thumb impression.

    • Applicants are advised not to send the hard copy of the application, i.e. Confirmation Page, to the OJEE office. However, applicants are advised to retain the hard copy of the application, i.e. Confirmation Page, along with proof of money transfer for future reference or correspondence, if any.

    • Applicants must quote the Registration number/Application number generated after submission of all his/her required personal data as a reference in all his/her future correspondence with OJEE-2026.

    • The application must be completed in all respects. Incomplete/unsuccessful submission of the application will lead to outright rejection. A completed application will include:

    • Registration  

    • Uploading images and  

    • Pay the fee

    • Options such as Category, Choice of place of exam centre and Reservation and Sub-reservation type, once given by the applicant in the application form, cannot be changed afterwards under any circumstances.

    • Applicants should give options only with respect to category S (State of Odisha), ZZ (Outside State of Odisha), NRI( Non Resident Indian) and Reservation (SC, ST) and sub-reservation type (PC or PwD/GC/WO/ES/TFW) that he/she can substantiate with documentary evidence during document verification/counselling. There is no provision for uploading any proof of these categories during online submission.
