SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) exam is a national-level examination that is conducted to hire candidates for Clerical Cadre in State Bank of India's different branches across the country. The SBI Clerk 2019 entrance examination consists of two phases i.e. Preliminary and Mains, and both are conducted online. Applicants have to pass in both the examinations with the desired marks to become eligible for the next round. SBI Clerk 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The State Bank of India (SBI) will prescribe the SBI Clerk Exam 2019 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk include the conditions that must be fulfilled by all candidates in terms of nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. All candidates of SBI Clerk have to ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility criteria before filling the application form of SBI Clerk.

Nationality: 

  • Candidate should be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have a graduation degree in any stream or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university as approved by the Central Government.

  • Candidate with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 1st January 2019.

  • Candidates applying for SBI Clerk  have to note the following points:

    • The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/certificate or a provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. If the result of a particular examination is posted on the University/ Institute website, the certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

    • After completing the service of the armed forces of the Union in less than 15 years, matriculate in the Navy or the Air Force, special forces or the ex-soldiers receiving relevant certificates will also be eligible for the post. Such certificates should be dated on or before 1st January 2019.

Age Limit:

  • The lower age limit of candidates is 20 years and the upper age limit is 28 years i.e. the birth date of the candidates must not be earlier than 2nd January 1990 and not later than 1st January 1998.

SBI Clerk 2018 Exam Analysis

The SBI Clerk Mains examination was conducted on August 5, 2018, in two slots. The exam was conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) and students may now go through a detailed analysis of the same. The exam analysis will help students understand the difficulty level of the exam, the weightage given to the different topics in different sections and the topic-wise difficulty level.

Except for the English Language section, all other sections were available in both English and Hindi. Candidates had to answer a total of 190 questions within 160 minutes. For every incorrect answer, negative marking was applicable.

SBI Clerk 2018 Merit List

The selection procedure of SBI Clerk 2019 will be organised in four phases namely – Preliminary, Mains, test of official/ local language and final selection. It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify all the phases and fulfill the standards set by the SBI.

Preliminary Examination:

The first phase of SBI Clerk 2019 selection procedure is preliminary examination. The paper pattern is objective type and has 100 multiple choice questions divided in 3 sections namely:

  • English Language,

  • Reasoning Ability,

  • Numerical ability.

Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. Those who qualify the Preliminary exam become eligible to appear in the Mains exam.

Mains Examination:

The second phase of SBI Clerk 2019 selection procedure is Mains examination, which has a total of 4 sections namely:

  • General/Financial Awareness

  • English Language

  • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude

Candidates have 160 minutes to complete the exam and each section has sectional timings.

Test of knowledge of official/ local language

In addition to the Prelims and Mains exam, candidates have to produce class 10 mark sheet/certificate in which they have studied official (local) language. Such candidates will not be subjected to a language test. Those candidates who are unable to produce a certificate, they will have to qualify for a language test before the final examination. Candidates not found to be proficient in official and/or local language would be disqualified.

Final Selection

SBI will prepare a final merit list of all the qualified candidates. Marks secured by the candidates in the Preliminary exam will not be counted. The merit list will be prepared based on candidate’s scores in the Mains exam. Candidates who stand sufficiently high in the merit will be offered a post.

SBI Clerk 2019 Admit Card

SBI (short for State Bank of India) is responsible for issuing the admit card of SBI Clerk 2019. SBI Clerk 209 admit card for Preliminary examination is expected to be released in the first week of June 2019. Candidate must make sure that the date of birth is same as he/she had entered during registration. Check the application printout to check the date of birth entered.

2. Where do I get the registration number and password?

Registration number and password are generated during registration and appear on the screen. Candidates get it immediately after successful registration through auto-generated email acknowledgment, on their registered email address.

3. I have registered more than once?

Step by Step procedure for SBI Clerk Application Process 2019

Registration:

  • Visit the official website of SBI and click on SBI Clerk 2019 registration.

  • Create an account on the website with your email address.

  • Enter your basic details such as Name, Email ID, and Mobile number.

  • After the details are confirmed, enter the code and click on 'Save' tab.

  • A confirmation email and text message will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number. It will have your Registration ID and Password.

  • After that, click on 'Next' tab and it will redirect you to the next step i.e. uploading of documents.

Uploading the Documents:

  • In this step, you have to upload scanned images of your recent passport sized photograph in the prescribed format.

Specification for Photograph Image:

  • Recent passport size Photograph in coloured format.

  • Make ensure that the photograph is coloured, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.

  • The dimensions of the photograph is 200 x 230 pixels and size of the file should be between 20KB–50KB.

Specification for Signature Image:

The candidate has to sign on white paper with a black ink pen.

  • The signature should be signed only by the candidate and not by any other person.

  • The dimensions of the signature is 140 X 60 pixels and size of the file should be between 10KB – 20KB.

  • Make ensure that the size of the scanned image does not exceed more than 20KB

  • The signature in CAPITAL letters will not be accepted.

  • Now, in this step, you have to select the post applied for i.e, Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales).
