AILET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

One of the most important things that candidates should do before applying for the entrance exam is to check the eligibility criteria of AILET. The conditions to become eligible to take the exam may include age limit, nationality, educational qualifications, reservation policy, etc.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for AILET 2019

Following are some of the important eligibility norms:

  • Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination and candidates who have cleared 10+2 examination or equivalent can apply for AILET. Candidates with result awaited should carry requisite documents at time of written test of AILET.

  • Aggregate not less than 50% in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) is mandatory.

  • Candidates who fall under the Foreign Nationals category will have to fulfill the prescribed academic qualifications as mentioned by the university. They are free from taking the admission test unlike the other students.

  • There is no age limit.

  • For B.A. L.L.B it is important for students to score minimum of 40% marks in AILET. For SC/ST applicants the minimum marks is reduced to 30%.

  • For L.L.M. Programme, the candidate’s AILET marks should be minimum of 50% if he/she falls in the general category and 40% in case of SC/ST category. 

B.A. L.L.B.(Hons.)

50% marks in Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination.

L.L.M. Programme

55% for General Category and 55% for reserved categories (SC/ST/Persons with Disability) in LL.B or an equivalent degree from a recognized University.
