About IIMC Entrance Exam 2023

IIMC Entrance Exam second merit list for PG Diploma courses in Malayalam and Odia Journalism has been released. Selected candidates had till July 22, 2023 (5:00 PM) to make a payment of INR 32,000 to block their seats. Candidates were required to send a screenshot of the transaction ID along with other details including the candidate's name, father's name, roll number, and name of course via email to languagecoursesiimc2023@gmail.com. The CUET PG Results have been released along with the scorecards for PG Diploma courses offered at IIMC by the NTA on July 20, 2023. Admission to PG Diploma courses like English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Radio & TV Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, and Digital Media offered at IIMC will be provided through the CUET PG exam. The counselling process for the mentioned courses will be available at the IIMC official website soon. The IIMC Entrance Exam for Language Courses was held on June 18, 2023.

IIMC 2023 entrance exam conducted for admission into PG Diploma Journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is now replaced by the CUET PG exam. IIMC exam 2023 for the language courses – PG Diploma Courses in Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu Journalism – will be held separately. The application form for these regional language courses will be released soon on the IIMC website. The application form for CUET PG was made available by National Testing Agency (NTA) on March 20 and the deadline was May 5, 2023. The application form correction window was available between May 6 to 8, 2023. The CUET PG exam was conducted from June 5 to 17, 2023.

IIMC entrance is a national-level test, conducted for the candidates seeking admission into the PG Diploma courses offered by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. These courses include Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism (Hindi & English), Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Radio and TV Journalism, Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Advertising and Public Relations, and Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism (Odia/ Urdu/ Marathi/ Malayalam).

IIMC Application Process 2023

IIMC 2023 application form is available on the official website of the NTA. Candidates interested in taking admission into IIMC Journalism courses can complete the registration by following the given steps.

  • Click on the 'Registration For CUET (PG)-2023' link.
  • Now click on the 'New Registration' link and a new form window will open on the screen.
  • Fill out details in the application form such as course details, applicant details, family details, education details, choice of exam centre, signature, and photo.
  • Once all details are filled in, submit the application forms by clicking on the Submit button.
  • On successful submission of the application form, a Unique Registration Number (URN) will be generated that candidates can use to log in to their registered accounts.

IIMC Admit Card 2023

Applicants who effectively complete and submit their registration forms, along with the registration fees can download their IIMC 2023 admit card from the official site. Admit cards are usually distributed two weeks before the entrance test. The steps to download IIMC admit card are mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of the exam at cuet.nta.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the ‘Admit Card’ link available in the News and Announcements section.
  3. A new page will open in the browser. From there on, choose any one of the options: Through Application Number and Password (OR) Through Application Number and Date of Birth
  4. Enter your chosen login details and click on ‘login’.
  5. You will be directed to a new page. From there on, view and download the IIMC 2023 admit card.
  6. Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the allotted exam center.

IIMC 2023 Exam Day Guidelines

Going through the IIMC 2023 exam day guidelines and hall instructions a day before the exam is important to ensure candidates face no difficulty and have a smooth experience. Here are some crucial guidelines one must keep in mind:

  • Candidates must report to the exam center at the designated time. Reaching late for the exam will land you in trouble and chances are you might not be permitted the enter the hall.
  • Each candidate will be allotted a seat and roll number. You must locate your seat and occupy it. In case you face an issue in finding your allocated seat, take the help of the invigilator.
  • Carry only your IIMC 2023 admit card, Credible ID proof, PwD certificate (on whomever applicable), blue/black ball pen, and a transparent water bottle.
  • Students should not carry any additional items, either intentionally or unintentionally. The exam center does not take responsibility for any of your belongings.
  • Any eatable/beverage is not allowed in the IIMC exam hall. However, students with genuine medical conditions will be permitted after supervision.
  • Students cannot leave the exam hall before the exam is concluded. Before leaving, the OMR sheet must be handed over to the invigilator.

IIMC Delhi Faculty

IIMC Admissions 2023

To be admitted to PG Diploma Courses at IIMC, a candidate must first pass a written examination. This exam will assess the applicant's knowledge of domestic and foreign issues, academic ability, language ability, and so on.

Those who pass the written exam will be ranked by subject and category. They'll then show up for Group Discussions, where a theme will be delegated to them. The candidate's effective communication will be evaluated.

The third round will be an interview, in which panelists will interact with students to assess their grasp on everyday issues. Given below are the steps students can follow to apply for the IIMC entrance exam 2023:

  • Applicants must complete an online application form available at www.iimc.gov.in and pay the entrance exam fees through the website's digital gateway.
  • Applicants may apply for individual courses. Independent forms must be completed for each Course.
  • Aspirants who submit their application forms successfully will be assigned a unique registration number (URN).
  • This URN will be used to download the admit card.
  • Candidates must take a 75-point written exam.
  • NRI students are exempt from taking the written entrance exam.
  • Selected applicants must pass a Group Discussion worth 10 points and an Interview worth 15 points.
  • Applicants are preliminarily admitted to each module based on the merit list generated by adding the 100 points from the three tests.
