The CMAT 2018 eligibility criteria include the minimum requirements that a candidate must fulfill in order to be eligible to take the exam. CMAT is a gateway for management aspirants to get admission into MBA and PGDM programmes offered at AICTE-approved B-Schools across India. From 2019, the CMAT exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Until this year, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had the responsibility of conducting the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT).
The application process for CMAT 2019 will start on 1st November and end on 30th November 2018. Before a candidate prepares to fill the CMAT application form, he/she must check the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the entrance exam. Candidate's application form will not be accepted if he/she fails to meet the eligibility criteria of CMAT 2019.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) has been scheduled to take place on 28th January 2019 and its registration process will start from 1st November 2018. The National Testing Agency (NTA), examination conducting authority of CMAT 2019, has not yet announced any kind of reservation policies for the candidates appearing for the CMAT 2019 exam. No seats are reserved for the different categories constituting of the General Category, Female Quota, OBC Category and SC/ST Category. The Kashmiri Migrants Category and Physically Handicapped Category have also got no reservation for CMAT examination. The rules and regulations along with the CMAT eligibility criteria remain the same for this year as well.
However, at the time of paying the registration fee through an online or offline medium, the amount paid by a General Category or OBC Category Candidates is different as compared to the amount paid by SC/ST and Female Candidates. A General or OBC Category candidate will have to pay a sum of Rs 1,400 (+bank charges), whereas, a candidate of ST/SC Category or a Female Candidate will pay only Rs 700 (+bank charges), as registration fee.
The reservation can be based on the statutory provisions of the State Government. However, the colleges accepting the CMAT 2019 score may or may not impose reservation criteria as an eligibility norm for the purpose of admission in the various PGDM and MBA courses. Candidates must also know that the reservation policies of these participating colleges of CMAT 2019 will vary from one institution to another as per their requirement and curriculum needs. In order to clear the doubts of the institutional reservation policies, candidates are advised to read the admission guidelines of these colleges before applying in them.
The selection of candidates under reservation will also depend upon the validation of the certification submitted by the candidates. For the Physically disabled candidates, submitting the certification of partial or complete disability is also compulsory at the time of admission. The final decision whether to accept or reject a candidate based on the reservation norms will reside in the hands of the college authorities. Candidates must remember that any forgery done in the reservation certification shall be liable to cancellation of the candidature and might also be liable to legal actions as per the level of offence committed.
1. Who is eligible to take the test?
Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor Degree (10+2+3) programmes or who have appeared in the final year examination from a recognised institution/university can take the entrance exam.
2. For which programmes am I eligible after giving the CMAT 2019 exam?
Candidates will be eligible for PGDM, MBA and similar PGCM and Executive PGDM programmes. Eligibility criteria for admission to these programmes will be as per the criteria laid down by individual University / Institution. However, the eligibility criteria for different Post Graduate Management Programmes in AICTE affiliated institutions is as follows:

3. Can I appear for CMAT for practice purpose, though I am aware that I am not eligible?
No. Only eligible candidates can appear for the test.
4. Is there any age restriction for appearing in CMAT?
No, there is no age restriction for taking CMAT.
