The CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria include the minimum requirements that a candidate must fulfil in order to be eligible to take the exam. The eligibility criteria for CMAT 2020 is prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CMAT is a gateway for management aspirants to get admission into MBA and PGDM programmes offered at AICTE-approved B-Schools across India and to ensure a smooth passage into the CMAT 2020 participating colleges, the aspirants must fulfil all the CMAT 2020 eligibility norms laid down by NTA. From 2020 onwards, the CMAT exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Until this year, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had the responsibility of conducting the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT).
The application process for CMAT 2020 began on November 01, 2019, and the last date to submit the same is November 30, 2019. Before a candidate prepares to fill the CMAT application form, he/she must check the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the CMAT 2020 entrance exam. Candidate's application form will not be accepted if he/she fails to meet the eligibility criteria of CMAT 2020.
Details related to the CMAT 2020 eligibility norms are elaborated below.
The candidate has to be an Indian citizen.
There is no age restriction to take CMAT 2020.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline in the 10+2+3 format from any recognised university.
Final year students of graduate programmes (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before the commencement of admission for the next academic session can also apply for the CMAT online exam.

Here are some important highlights of the CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria which the CMAT 2020 aspirants must be aware of:
According to the latest CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria, the maximum age limit to appear in the CMAT 2020 exam has been scrapped
The aspirants must possess a graduation degree which should be recognised by either of AICTE, UGC or Government of India as mentioned in the eligibility criteria for CMAT 2020
Aspirants with a minimum percentage of marks in their Bachelor’s degree will be eligible to apply for CMAT 2020
CS/CA/ICWA or any other professional degree holders with a minimum requisite percentage are also eligible for CMAT 2020 according to the updated CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria
Aspirants pursuing their final year Bachelor’s degree study with the minimum requisite percentage can also apply for CMAT 2020
Every Institution/University has its own percentage calculating mechanism to calculate the percentage of marks scored by the CMAT 2020 aspirants
CGPA/Grade marks conversion to percentage scores will be carried out in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the respective Institution/University which should also sync with the CMAT eligibility criteria for the year 2020
In case of any Institution/University does not have a working mechanism of converting the CGPA/Grade scores into percentage scores, then the conversion would be done according to the CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria, which is, dividing the CGPA/Grade scores obtained by the aspirants by the maximum CGPA/Grade Scores and then multiplying the same with 100
The aspirants must understand that to be shortlisted by the B-Schools, mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria for CMAT 2020 will not be enough
From the beginning till the end of the CMAT 2020 selection process, the candidates must have a valid email address and working cellular connection for the smooth transfer of any information regarding the CMAT 2020 entrance exam
As mentioned above, the aspirants have to fulfil the minimum CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria in order to appear in the CMAT 2020 exam. Those aspirants will not be eligible for CMAT 2020 who:
Are not currently pursuing/ have not completed a Bachelor’s degree
Do not possess CS/CA/ICWA or any other professional degree
Belong to the General category and have a percentage score of less than 50%
Belong to SC/ST/PwD category and have a percentage score of less than 45%
Possess a graduation degree which is not AICTE/UGC/Government of India recognised
Note: The applicants are requested to check if they fulfil all the CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria before applying for CMAT 2020 for admission into their dream MBA programme. In case an aspirant does not fulfil the CMAT 2020 eligibility criteria, then he/she will be debarred from sitting in the exam and the authority will not be liable to refund the CMAT 2020 application fee and exam fee. Therefore, all the interested candidates are suggested to check their eligibility for CMAT 2020 before they proceed any further and deposit the CMAT 2020 exam and CMAT 2020 application fee.
