Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak organizes MDU CEE counselling process for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses for all the candidates who appear for the entrance examination every year. The counselling process of MDU CEE 2020 will start soon after the declaration of results which is expected to be released in July 2020 (tentative) for various courses. The shortlisted candidates will have to visit the official website of the university and confirm the date of the counselling.
With the help of the counselling process of MDU CEE 2020, candidates can get admissions into various UG and PG courses. All the candidates who will secure qualifying marks in the MDU CEE 2020 exam will only be eligible to participate in the counselling process organized by the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The counselling process of MDU CEE 2020 will have different rounds such as First Round of Counselling, Second Round of Counselling, Third Round of Counselling and then Final Counselling Round which will be conducted as physical counselling for filling vacant seats by the respective universities. Candidates must note that as per the 2020 MDU CEE counselling process, seats will be allotted to the qualified candidates. Once the seat allotment is done in the respective universities, candidates will be required to report to the concerned universities along with all the documents in original for verification of the document and prescribed fee.
By referring to the table given below, candidates can know the counselling process dates of MDU CEE 2020. Counselling is expected to be conducted from 10.00 a.m. onwards for all the categories. Candidates participating in the MDU CEE 2020 counselling process will be given eight days window and only once to get themselves registered and to fill in their college/ institute choices. All those will fail to fill in their choices within the specified time frame will not be able to participate in any round of online counselling process organised by MDU. The candidates are advised to keep in mind that the choices they will lock cannot be modified or changed and will remain the same for the online counselling process. In the case, when the candidate fills the choices but does not lock them, then, the last saved choices will be automatically locked when the time-window of filling of choices is closed.

By following the detailed counselling process of MDU CEE 2020, candidates can know how the counselling process for MDU CEE 2020 will function:
Candidates will be invited for counselling on the basis of their performance in the entrance test.
It is mandatory for all the eligible candidates to appear before the counselling committee personally for verification of documents and checking of eligibility
The students must strictly adhere to the given counselling schedule for admission.
Candidates will be called for counselling one by one in order of merit.
Candidates' preference for any Course/Dept./Institute/College at the time of counselling will be considered final.
In case a candidate is not able to get a seat in the college as per his/her preference, he/ she may choose to be wait-listed. However, such aspirants will have to appear again as a fresh candidate in the next counselling and he/she is considered for admission as per the merit subject to availability of seats at that time he/she reports for counselling.
The counselling will be over once all the seats in each category are filled.
No relaxation will be given if a candidate fails to appear before the counselling committee on the fixed date/time.
Candidate admitted as per their allotted seats during the counselling need to deposit the fee on the date of counselling itself with the University Cashier/Bank.
Remaining vacant seats after every round of counselling will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Department/Institutes.
Those candidates who do not get admission in one round of counselling have to be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds if seats are available.
Admissions for Kashmiri Migrants/NRIs/sports quota/ cultural activities quota/any other reserved quota will be done on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination. However, other candidates can be considered for these seats if the candidates in these categories are not available.
Candidates have to be present for the counselling with all the required certificates/documents/ testimonials in original, along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
Candidates must note that they will be awarded one mark for every answer. There will be negative marking and ¼ marks (0.25 marks) for each wrong answer. All the candidates who will obtain negative marks in the entrance exam will be ineligible to participate in the Centralized Online Counseling. However, on the basis of the academic merit and subject to availability of the seats, candidates may be able to participate in the physical counseling (if any).
For the counselling, candidates are strongly advised to register online well in time without waiting for the last date. For the counselling, candidates will have to register themselves and pay the counseling fee of INR 500/- within the mentioned timeline. To register, candidates will be required to provide their hall ticket number and password.
Candidates must ensure that while filling the online counseling form, they are providing their choices of the universities and programmes. They will have to fill in their choices of universities and programmes carefully and according to their preferences.
Candidates must check the breakup/availability of the seats (university-wise and category wise) which is available on the website in order to confirm the seats before giving the preference.
Candidates must note that the particulars i.e. category, sub category, date of birth filled at the time of MDUCEE-2020 examination cannot be changed/modified at the stage of online counselling and admission.
On the basis of merit, as per reservation roster, availability of seats in the concerned university and on the basis of preference of the candidates, allocation of the seats will be done. As per candidates’ preference, the universities/programmes will be allotted. In case on the basis of merit and preferences, if the seat is not available in the first choice given by the candidate, in the concerned category/sub-category then seat will be allotted in accordance with his/her next choice.
Once the seats have been allotted to the candidates in any university, the candidates will have to report to the concerned university with hard copy of the downloaded application along with all requisite documents / certificates in original for verification on the prescribed date. Once the verification of the documents is done, the candidate will deposit the admission fee, self-attested copies of the requisite documents and get admission. If he/she wants to attend next counseling for upgradation, the candidate will have to deposit full fee or INR 5000/- whichever is less.
It is important for the candidates to deposit the fee. Any candidate who does not deposit the requisite amount, will not be allowed to participate in the next online counseling, however, the candidate may participate in physical counseling on merit basis, if seats are available. If the candidate will take admission in another programme in the same university, this amount deposited by the candidate will be adjusted and the balance amount, if any, will be paid/refunded to the candidate. If the candidate leaves the seat and takes admission in any other university, then, the fee deposited by the candidate will be refunded later on as per fee adjustment/refund rules.
After allotment of the seat, candidates, who wish to participate in the next counselling, may deposit their requisite amount (full fee or INR 5000/- whichever is less) through Demand Draft in order to avoid any delay in the adjustment/refund of fee as they may take back the demand draft if a seat in the next counselling is also allotted to them. Candidate participating in subsequent rounds are required to fill the option for ‘freeze’, or ‘slide’ the choice of academic programme.
The university-wise and category-wise vacant seats will be allotted to the candidates (in waiting) in subsequent round(s) after allocation of seat for any round.
Candidates must note that there will be three rounds of online seat allocation process for the programmes offered by the participating universities of MDUCEE 2020. The last and final round of the counselling process will be conducted as the physical counseling for the vacant seats, if any, by the respective universities.
Once the registration process of MDU CEE 2020 counselling is over, candidates must follow the instructions mentioned below:
Candidate must take a printout of the final locked choices for submission during reporting.
The candidate must carefully secure the Roll number and Password.
Candidates are advised to keep changing the Password at frequent intervals.
For security reasons, candidates must click on the “logout” button and close all the windows related to the session.
For final physical counselling, the date will be notified by the concerned department of the respective universities which will be subject to availability of the seats.
The university-wise and programme-wise availability of seats will be made available on the admission portal of MDUCEE 2020 after the third online counselling.
All the candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam, and did not get themselves registered for the online counselling may also appear for the physical counselling, if any, in the concerned department to which they wish to seek admission.
All the candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling will have to appear personally within the stipulated time period. on the date notified by the concerned department of the concened University and mark their presence by putting signatures in that department, if they wish to seek admission. If the candidate arrives after the mentioned time, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the physical counselling process.
The admissions will be done on the basis of academic merit in the respective categories and subject to availability of seats amongst these candidates. The candidates are required to get their documents verified and deposit the full fee on the same day. The list of the candidates who will mark their presence between the time mentioned on the notified date will be displayed by the concerned department at 11:45 a.m. and the counselling will commence from 11:45 a.m. onwards.
At the time of physical counselling, in case the seats of various reserved categories remain vacant and no eligible candidate of the reserved categories is available then the vacant seats may be thrown open to Haryana General Category/AIO category on that date itself as per the rules of the concerned university. Once the seats are filled, the counselling process will be closed.
Candidates participating in the MDU CEE 2020 counselling process must have the following documents with them:
Computer generated application form duly signed by the candidate
12th Certificate and Marksheet
Qualifying examination Marksheet ( B.A./B.SC./B.Pharmacy etc)
Latest Character Certificate
Certificate of Reserved Category and other related certificates, if applicable
Income Certificate, wherever required
Haryana Residence Certificate, if applicable
Undertaking certificate from the candidate and parents regarding Anti-ragging as per norms of the concerned University.
Certificate of gap year, if any.
For the selection of the candidates for admission to various programmes, the following procedure shall be followed:
For admission, candidates must fulfill all the conditions mentioned in the Prospectus of MDU. Mere possession of the prescribed academic qualifications does not entitle a candidate for admission to the programme.
In the case admissions are made on the basis of entrance test, the eligibility of the candidates shall be ascertained at the time of counselling.
Candidates must note that the merit list of the candidates shall be prepared as per criteria given in the prospectus of MDU and shall be available on the website of the university.
For admission, if two or more candidates secure identical marks in entrance test then the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
Preference once exercised by the candidate for any Program/Dept./Institute/University shall be final. If the candidate does not get Program/Dept./Institute/University of his/her choice, he/she may opt to be wait-listed. However, such candidate will be considered for admission as per merit subject to availability of seats in next counselling, if any.
Candidates must note that the counselling for admission to the programmes will be held at the Depts./Institutes of the concerned universities as per “Counseling Schedule” given in the Prospectus and no separate communication shall be made/sent in this regard.
Seats remaining vacant in one round of counseling will be filled up in the subsequent round of counselling.
The details of the participation in the counselling and pprocess of seat allotment will be made available soon on the website of M.D. University, Rohtak and the counselling will be closed as soon as all the seats in each category have been filled.
Candidates who do not get themselves registered for the MDU CEE 2020 counselling will not be allowed to participate in any round of online counselling.
The candidates are advised to keep in mind their college choices as the choices once locked by them will not be modified or changed.
All the eligible candidates will be given eight days window and only once to get themselves registered and to fill in their choices.
All the candidates who fail to fill in their choices within the stipulated time window will also not be able to participate in any round of online counselling process.
If a candidate participates in next counselling round for the upgradation and gets the upgraded seat, then, the seat alloted to the candidate in the previous counselling will automatically stand cancelled and no claim against the cancelled seat will be entertained thereafter, however, if the candidate is not allotted upgraded seat, his/her claim for the already booked seat will remain intact.
