How to Apply for SET 2018

  • The prospectus is available at SIHS on payment of INR. 500 by cash or INR. 600/- by post.
  • The Application Fees for SIHS is INR 1000/-.
  • Register online at official website of Symbiosis International University.
  • You may register for one paper in the morning (for example, Law or Design), and the other in the afternoon session (for example, Engineering, General or Health Sciences).
  • You must upload your latest scanned photograph (in the required format and size) at the time of online registration.

ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD:

  • You may directly pay online either through Master or Visa card by following the instructions given on the SET Website.

ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH NET BANKING:

  • You may transfer your SET test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account using Net Banking option.

ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH Paytm:

  • You may transfer your SET test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account using Paytm.

ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH INDIAN BANK NET BANKING:

  • You may pay your SET test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account, and you may also pay the application fee for various institutes through Indian Bank Internet Banking option.

CASH:

  • This ‘Payment Advice’ form is presented in three parts. Pay INR 1500/- in cash at Axis Bank or Indian Bank branches in your city. You may refer to the list of branches available on the website. The bank will return two parts of the ‘payment advice’ form to you. The ‘student copy’ is your receipt.
  • Sign the Symbiosis copy of the ‘Payment Slip’ form stamped by Axis Bank or Indian Bank and send it to:-

DEMAND DRAFT:

  • Get a crossed demand draft for Rs. 1500/- from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
  • Sign the single copy of the ‘payment advice’ for Demand Draft and send it along with the Demand Draft to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at:

SET 2018 Eligibilty

Candidates must have passed XII grade or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognised Board/ Council/University with minimum 50% marks for those who belong to General category and 45% marks for students of SC and ST category.

RESERVATION OF SEATS:

As per the UGC guidelines, the reservation policy for all the institutes under the University is as follows:

Within the sanctioned intake:

  • SC - 15 %
  • ST – 7.5 %
  • Differently Abled – 3 %
  • Over and above the intake
  • Kashmir Migrants – 2 seats per programme
  • International Students – 15 %
  • Defence Quota – 5 % for SLS-PUNE and SICSR.

Note: Candidate applying for the above-mentioned categories will be required to submit the supporting documents at the time of PI-WAT.

FAQs

1. How to Register For SET 2017?

A candidate can register for one paper from the morning session; viz, Law or Design and one paper from the afternoon session; viz, General or Engineering or Health Sciences.

  • The candidate can register at www.set-test.org
  • This will generate his/her SET ID.
  • Candidates need not register for SET if they wish to offer scores of entrance tests other than SET such as JEE (Main). Such candidates may apply directly to the preferred institute. Note: This is also applicable for SSCA (Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts) wherein, the score of NCHMCT JEE is accepted.
  • A candidate must upload his/her latest scanned photograph (in the required format and size) at the time of online registration.

2. How do I pay the fee to undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University?

You may pay online/offline for admission to undergraduate courses of the University. The fee is Rs. 1500/- per programme. Candidates have an option of paying through any one of the following  payment methods:

3. I have completed the online application form. But I have not taken a print out. How can I get a print out now?

You can go to the apply online page again and enter your personal details and application number. You can then take a printout of the page. 

4. When will I get my Admit Card?

You will have to log on to the SET official website with your registered User ID to view and print your Admit Card. 
Note: You will be eligible for an Admit Card only upon submission of online application form. 

5. I have received the SET ID & Password, what can I use it for?

You can use the SET ID/email and password to modify personal details in the SET application form and to view/print the admit card. If you apply to institutes, which take SET scores, you should use your SET ID.

6. My current address is valid only until March end. Is it possible for me to update and make changes in the address in April?

Yes, you can modify any set of personal details after receiving your SET ID /email and password.

7. What is the eligibility criteria for SET Law?

The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognised Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students of XII grade are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of final admission.
