As discussed, the BITSAT exam will comprise of a total of 130 questions from five subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning. Of these, the Math/Biology section carries 40 questions, whereas the Physics and Chemistry sections feature 30 questions each. 20 questions are asked from Logical Reasoning, and the remaining 10 from English Proficiency. The weightage as well as the correction in the BITSAT exam will be done based on the marking scheme defined by the authority. Moreover, based on the BITSAT marking scheme, the exam will consist a total of 130 questions, carrying 3 marks each. The exam will also follow negative marking in case of incorrect answers. If you complete all 130 questions within the defined time frame of 3 hours, then you will get an addition of 12 questions. These BITSAT extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, and Logical Reasoning, with only three questions from each section. However, while answering these extra questions, you won’t be allowed to make changes to the previously attempted 130 questions. The authority will evaluate the marks scored for these 12 questions as well, with no changes in the marking pattern. Correct responses will be rewarded with +3 marks, while any wrong attempt in these questions will fetch a -1 mark, as per the BITSAT marking scheme 2026.
