JMI has released the first merit lists for BTech and BArch courses. Students who have been shortlisted have to appear for the counselling round along with their original documents. The counselling dates are October 26 to November 2, 2020, and candidates will have to visit their departments to complete the admission formalities. Candidates who applied for the JMI admissions 2020 can check their shortlisting status on the JMIEE Cut-off page. If the seats remain vacant, the next merit list will be published on 7th November 2020.
The admission test for UG and PG courses is scheduled to be conducted from 10th October 2020 to 22nd November 2020 in various exam venues across the nation. The admit card of the exam has also been generated on 6th October 2020. The entire admission test schedule was finalized in a meeting held by the Executive Council (Standing Committee) on 24th September 2020. Earlier, the application deadline for JMIEE 2020 was extended again amid the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Students were able to register for the exam until 14th September 2020. The application dates for MPhil or PhD courses were also been pushed ahead from 20th August to 14th September 2020. On a notification released on 20th August 2020, Jamia Millia Islamia announced the opening of the application portal for students till the mid of September.
Jamia Milia Islamia Entrance Exam or JMIEE is taken by a large number of candidates seeking admission into various UG and PG courses offered by the University. Through JMIEE, students can apply for admission into a variety of programmes such as Law, Management, Mass Communication programmes offered at Jamia Milia Islamia University.
To apply for one of the courses offered at Jamia Milia Islamia, the aspirants have to visit the official JMI website and get themselves registered for the same. The application forms are only available in online mode.
The JMIEE is an offline University-level entrance examination which is usually conducted between the second and last week of June month every year. There are around seven cities located all across the country where the JMIEE is conducted.
The JMIEE admit card is released approximately a fortnight prior to the conduct of the exam. Admission into JMI courses is done on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam, fulfilment of eligibility criteria and availability of seats.
