S.No. | NEET MDS Percentile | NEET MDS Percentage |
|---|---|---|
1 | The percentile rank tells how well a student has performed in comparison to others. | The percentage tells how good a student has performed in the exam itself. |
2 | A percentile just tells a student's merit position amongst the rest of the students. | The percentage does not tell the same. |
3 | The percentile rank never gives details of the marks obtained by a candidate. | The percentage is simply calculated based on the scores obtained by students in the test. |
4 | For instance, if a candidate is at the 80th percentile, it means that she/ he has scored better than 80 per cent of the total students who appeared in the exam. | For instance, if a student has scored 80% in NEET MDS, it means that the candidate scored 768 marks out of the total score of 960. |
