AILET 2019 Exam Pattern

The AILET 2019 exam pattern gives students an idea of how the paper will be framed. National Law University, Delhi administered All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2019 exam pattern comprises of the number of questions, total marks, exam mode, test duration and marking scheme.

Subjects like English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude are covered in the B.A. L.L.B. exam. AILET for L.L.M. covers topics like Law of Torts, Business Laws, and Family Laws. Apart from these, the paper pattern also helps the candidates know what things should be kept in mind before and during the exam.

Following are some features of AILET 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • The mode of examination will be pen & paper based (offline).

  • The duration of the examination will 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • The total number of marks will be 150.

  • The total number of questions will be 150 for B.A LL.B and 100 questions with 1 essay for LLM.

  • The medium of answering the paper is English.

  • The paper will have objective type questions.

  • There will be a total of 5 sections in the paper. Attempting questions from each section is mandatory.

Break-up of AILET 2019 Exam Pattern for LLM: 

  • There will be 100 objective type questions and an essay that needs to be answered.

  • The subjects are :

    • Law of Contracts

    • Law of Torts

    • Criminal Law

    • Constitutional Law and Legal Theory

  • There will be 100 marks for all above-mentioned subjects and the essay will carry 50 marks.

AILET 2019 Marking Scheme:

  • Every correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.

  • For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.

  • For unattempted questions, there will be no negative marking.
