To appear for the IGRUA entrance exam 2026, you must be at least 17 years old as of 1 August 2026 or born on or before that date. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has not mentioned any specific upper age limit for the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) program in recent guidelines. However, you must meet the DGCA Class 1 medical fitness standards. In previous years, certain aviation courses had upper limits around 28–33 years, but the CPL intake now prioritises minimum age and medical eligibility.

To apply, you must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with the following requirements:

• Subjects Required: Physics and Mathematics are mandatory, and English must be one of your core subjects.
• Minimum Marks:
  • General/Unreserved Category: A minimum of 50% marks each in English, Physics, and Mathematics, or an overall aggregate of 50% with at least 50% in Physics and Mathematics combined.
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates: Marks relaxation up to 45% is generally accepted.
• Appearing Candidates: Students appearing for Class 12 or equivalent exams in 2026 are also eligible. However, they must present qualifying certificates and mark sheets during the interview or aptitude test.
