Step by Step NTSE 2020 Registration Process

  1. Visit the official portal of NCERT.

  2. Look for the link ‘Apply for NTSE 2020’.

  3. Click on the link.

  4. Fill in the following credentials:

  • Date of Birth

  • Candidate’s Name

  • Educational Qualification

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID, etc.

  1. After successfully filling in the details, click on ‘Submit’.

  2. Look for the link to download NTSE Application Form.

  3. Download the application form.

  4. Candidates can also get the application form offline from the Liaison Officer of their State/Union Territory.

  • Visit the official website of NCERT
  • Click on “Apply for NTSE 2020”
  • Fill in all the details asked by the website, such as:
    • Your Name
    • DoB
    • Education Qualification
    • Mobile Number and Email ID
  • Click on Submit
  • Download and take a printout of the Application Form
    • You will also be able to obtain the form from the Liason Officer of your State or Union Territory

Steps to Apply for NTSE 2020

  • Fill in the details such as:
    • Your Name as per Birth Certificate
    • DoB
    • Parents’ Name, Education and Occupation
    • Category
    • Educational Details
    • Address
    • Family Income
  • Paste a Passport Size Photograph
  • Sign in the space Provided
  • Get the NTSE Form Attested by the Head of the School
  • Attach all the required documents with the form
  • Submit the Filled-in application form Liason Office of your state or Union Territory

NTSE 2020 Application Fee

  • For the first stage of NTSE, each state has its own rules with respect to the charging of the application fee.

  • For the second stage of NTSE, there is no fee charged as no additional application form needs to be filled. 

Important Instructions

  • The posting address of the Liaison Officer of each centre can be found on the official portal of NTSE.

  • The last date of submitting the application form varies from state to state, so students need to stay in contact with the Liaison Officers.

  • Candidates must provide a valid postal address as all the important documents will be posted to that address only. 

  • Before posting the application form to the Liaison Officer, candidates must make sure that the form has been filled properly with correct details on it. 

  • Candidates must check their emails on a regular basis to make sure that you don’t miss out any update.

Dear Student,

Yes, you will be selected for NTSE second stage as the selection criteria for NTSE second stage is 80 per cent marks in the state board. Every year, roughly 4000 candidates appear for stage 2 of the NTSE exam. The ones who clear stage 2 with the minimum marks defined are eligible for scholarships.
