About ACET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

ACET eligibility criteria 2024 have been provided by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) on the official website. ACET examination for the May session will be conducted on May 4, 2024. To appear for the said examination, the aspirants must have completed 10 + 2 or appeared for it.

Candidates are advised to review the eligibility norms before applying for the said entrance examination. This is to ensure that their application form is not rejected for not complying with the ACET eligibility criteria 2024.

Aspirants with a strong foundation in Mathematics or Numeracy or Finance have a better chance of doing well in the examination. If aspirants want to have a successful career as an actuary, they should be aware that having a strong background in mathematics, will prove to be an advantage to them. 

Education Qualification Required for ACET 2024

The education qualification required for ACET 2024 is as follows -

  • The candidates must have passed Class 12th or have appeared for the exam and waiting for the declaration of the result.
  • Candidates who have attained higher education qualifications can also appear for ACET 2024.
  • Candidates studying for relevant Diploma courses are also eligible.
  • Applicants from Finance or any other fields, but love Mathematics and have numeracy skills.
  • Candidates from the Mathematical Sciences with Maths, Statistics, Econometrics or other subjects can send their applications for ACET.
  • Working professionals with a minimum of 12th qualification are also eligible to register for the exam.
  • Aspirants from the Engineering or Management streams are qualified to register.
  • Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants or Company Secretary professionals are competent for ACET application.

Exemptions from ACET

The aspirants must note that there is no exemption from ACET exam 2024. However, there is an exemption for Core Technical, Core Application and Specialist Technical Subjects for the following candidates -

  • Professional Qualifications
  • Graduates of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata
  • Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Institute of Faculty of Actuaries
  • University Courses and IFoA Exemptions
