AP RCET Exam Pattern 2023

AP RCET 2023 exam pattern is prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Candidates who are preparing for AP RCET 2023 must know the AP RCET exam pattern 2023. According to the latest AP RCET 2023 exam pattern, the question paper consists of two sections Section A and Section B. Part A focuses on Research Methodology, as defined by the UGC NET paper 1 syllabus, while Part B is subject-specific. AP RCET 2023 Exam Pattern Important Highlights

AP RCET 2023 is conducted for the two categories of candidates according to the AP RCET exam pattern 2023. 

Category I are the candidates who have done Post Graduation in respective subject and also qualified in GPAT (with valid score)/ and FDP/ Teacher Fellowship program or who have completed M Phil degree, and the candidates who have qualified UGC NET (Including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR-NET (Including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE (with valid score).  

Category II are the candidates who have done Post Graduation in their specific subject and not in the list of Category I will also be considered under this category. The candidates belonging to Category-II have to do Part A (Research Methodology for 70 marks) and Part B (respective subject for 70 Marks) in AP RCET 2023 exam pattern.

  • The AP RCET 2023 exam pattern questions that will be asked in the exam paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • The AP RCET exam duration will be 140 minutes.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • There will be two parts in the AP RCET exam pattern 2023 - Part A and Part B.
  • Part A will have topics related to Teaching and Research Aptitude, and the total marks allotted to Part A is 70 marks.
  • Part B comprise of  subject specific topic which also will be of 70 marks according to AP RCET exam pattern 2023. 
  • Part A Teaching and Research Aptitude will be based on the syllabus of UGC NET Paper-I.
  • Candidates have to acquire a minimum of 50 per cent (General) and 45 per cent (SC/ST/PWD) to qualify for the next round – Oral Interview.
  • The candidates belonging to Category-1 and Category-II should have to secure at least 50% marks for OC candidates to qualify for the interview, and 45% marks for BC/SC/ST/PWD in AP RCET 2023 exam pattern.
  •  The candidates have to face an interview after qualifying the AP RCET exam as per the AP RCET exam pattern 2023. The interview marks allotted for Category –I which will be of 30 marks and also for Category-II which will be of 60 marks. 
  • The rank in AP RCET will comprise total marks scored by the candidate in the entrance test and interview.
  • The exam medium of AP RCET 2023 for Part-A for all the subjects including languages is in English only and the Part B of the subjects except languages are in English.
