As per the eligibility criteria for CG PAT 2026, candidates must be Indian citizens by birth. As per the domicile requirement for the exam, students must be a residents of Chhattisgarh. Moreover, for the academic requirements, applicants must have completed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board in India with Physics, Chemistry, and one of Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Mathematics, or Crop Production & Horticulture as required subjects. The minimum age to apply for the exam is 16 years as of August 31, 2026. The maximum age limit is 25 years for general category students and 28 years for reserved category students.

The subjects mandatory for the CG PAT exam are PCM or Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences/Agricultural Science, Agricultural Mathematics/Crop Production, and Horticulture in your Class 12 or the recent qualifying exam.
If you belong to the general category, then you must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in your 12th or equivalent examination, while SC/ST/OBC/PwD and females must have at least 45% aggregate marks in their Class 12.
The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board or CG Vyapam decides the eligibility criteria for CG PAT 2026. Further, students who do not meet the category-wise eligibility requirements will not be allowed to take the examination.
