IBPS PO 2018 Exam Analysis

The IBPS PO Mains 2018 exam conducted on 18th November 2018 (Sunday) had many surprise elements in terms of its pattern. As per various sources and the feedback received from test takers, the difficulty level of the exam was high as compared to the last year's Main exam.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the Mains examination to shortlist candidates for the post of Probationary Officer across the country. Candidates were given a single slot from 9 am to 12:30 pm to take the examination.

The IBPS PO Main Examination is a computer-based examination, which is divided into two parts Objective Tests and Descriptive Test. Candidates had 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam.

IBPS PO 2018 English Language Section Analysis

In the opinion of the IBPS PO 2018 exam takers, the IBPO PO 2018 English language section was moderately difficult. The English language section comprised of reading comprehension, cloze test, filler, error detection and sentence improvement. Out of the 30 total questions, only the error detection questions gave the students a headache. The RC passages were based on excerpts from the history of newspaper and printing press. 

IBPS PO 2018 Reasoning Ability Section Analysis

There were a total of 35 questions in this section. The overall difficulty level of this section moderate. Questions in the reasoning ability section of IBPS PO 2018 exam were based on the square seating arrangement, floor-based puzzle, miscellaneous puzzle etc. There were a total of 15 questions, the maximum number, based on puzzles and seating arrangement.  

IBPS PO 2018 Quantitative Aptitude Section Analysis

The quantitative aptitude section of the IBPS PO 2018 exam was relatively the easiest of all, said the students. The questions, unsurprisingly, did not show any deviation from what was expected on the basis of the exam pattern and syllabus. Maximum questions were miscellaneous questions like Profit & Loss, SI etc while the wrong number series and quadratic equation had only 6 questions each based on them.
