JUET 2018 Selection Process

The JUET 2018 selection process for admission in different undergraduate and post-graduate programmes has started from 5th July 2018. The admission process began after the announcement of JUET 2018 results. The ranking of the candidates is based on the JUET 2018 scores and eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned authority.

Candidates will be called for the JUET 2018 selection according to their ranks scored in the entrance exam. To participate in the admission process, qualified candidates must register themselves online. For this, candidates have to log in with their registration number and Password/Date of Birth.

Last date for Online Filling Admission Form (without late fee) 12th July 2018
Last date for Online Filling Admission Form with fee INR 120/- through online mode 16th July 2018
1st list of Open Category Notification Date 19th July 2018
2nd list of Open Category Notification Date 24th July 2018
Selection list of Reserved Categories & for the Vacant Open Category Seat, if any notification date 26th July 2018
Selection list of Reserved Categories & for the Vacant Open Category Seat, if any & if required notification date 30th July 2018
Self-financing Seat Date 1st August 2018
Last Date for completion of admissions by the Department under all categories 3rd August 2018
Commencement of classes and filling of the appeals on the prescribed form with requisite fee 6th August 2018

How to Register for Admission Process after JUET 2018

  • Candidates need to go to the official website of the Jammu University and register online for the admission process.

  • Aspirants must enter their personal details such as Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, JUET 2018 Admit Card Number, Application Number, etc. carefully while filling up the registration form.

  • Fill in your choice seat while registering for the admission-cum-selection process.  

  • Then, take a printout of the choice-filling form stating the course you have applied for and keep it for future use.

  • Candidates must wait for their Provisional Offer Letter once the admission process gets over.

  • After receiving the Letter, candidates are asked to report to the institute allotted in the offer letter and pay the requisite fees.

  • Seats are allotted according to the rank secured in JUET 2018 Examination and Result of the last qualifying examination. 

  • Please note that it is mandatory to carry relevant documents for verification.

  • Candidates must keep a set of photocopies of all the original documents asked along with the originals.

​​​Note: Admission is subject to fulfilment of all eligibility norms, including verification of documents.

Documents Required During Selection Process

  • All academic records in Original form Class 10th and 12th (for UG candidates)

  • Class 10th, 12th and Graduation Certificate / Degree / Mark Sheet (for PG & PGD candidates)

  • Photo ID Proof

  • Score Card of JUET 2018 downloaded from the official website.

  • Admit Card for JUET 2018 Exam

  •  JUET 2018 Provisional Offer Letter

  • 5 self-attested Photographs

  • JUET Application Fee Challan

  • Proof of category issued by the competent authority as per the  instructions

  • Income Certificate

  • Proof of Sub-Category

  • Medical Certificate (for PH/BL)

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Proof of Weightage marks

  • 2 sets of photocopies of all documents mentioned above, (photocopies should be self-attested).


1. Should my parents accompany me at the time of the selection process?

It is not compulsory. But, for the selection process, the presence of candidate is mandatory.

2.  After the declaration of the cut-off, are candidates given admission on first come first serve basis?

There is no first come first serve policy. Admission is offered only if the candidate meets the JUET 2018 cut-off.

3.  Am I guaranteed a seat in a college with the JUET score? 

No,  JUET is only one of the requirements in the admission process. Candidates have to adhere to all the prerequisites of admission.
