SSC CHSL 2019 Eligibility Criteria

SSC CHSL 2019 official notification has been released, and the candidates must note that the online application form for the same is also live now. Candidates aspiring to apply for SSC CHSL recruitment exam 2019 must note that he/ she must adhere to the eligibility criteria set by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for CHSL recruitment. Candidates must note that there is an upper and lower age limit for CHSL posts, and it is advisable to read all the eligibility conditions on this page carefully.

SSC CHSL 2019 Age Limit

The age limit for SSC CHSL exam 2019 is as follows -

Lower/ Minimum Age Limit: The applicants must be 18 years of age as on January 01, 2020. Candidates who are born after January 01, 2002, are not eligible to appear for the exam.

Upper Age Limit: The candidates should not be more than 27 years of age as on January 01, 2020. Candidates who are born before January 02, 1993 are not eligible to appear for the exam.

The candidates must note that the above upper age limit is applicable only for General/ Unreserved category candidates.

The applicants must note that the Date of Birth available in Class 10th certificate is only considered as the original date of birth.

Educational Qualification for SSC CHSL 2019

The details of educational qualification that is required for CHSL 2019 recruitment of SSC is as follows -

  • Candidates applying for the posts such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ JSA, PA/ DEO/ SA must have passed Class 12th in Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • Candidates applying for Grade ‘A’ DEO post must have passed Class 12th in Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • Candidates who have passed Class 10th/Class 12th through NIOS or Open School Learning mode are also eligible for the SSC CHSL recruitment exam 2019.
  • Candidates pursuing Class 12th are not eligible to appear for the SSC CHSL exam 2019.
