The SSC CHSL examination will consist of a Computer-based Written Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Division Clerk and Junior Secretariat Assistant(JSA).
The selection process for SSC CHSL will be carried out by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
The tier-I of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be a computer-based exam. The tier-I exam will comprise of four sections - General Intelligence, English Language, General Awareness and General IntelligenceThe maximum marks of this exam will be 200. There will also be negative marking in the Tier-I examination (0.50 marks for every wrong attempt). Candidates qualifying the Tier-I exam of SSC CHSL 2022 with the minimum required marks will be selected for the SSC CHSL 2022 tier-II exam
The tier-II of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be a descriptive test. The exam will comprise of an essay writing question (200-250 words approximately) and letter writing question (100-150 words approximately). The maximum marks of this exam will be 100. The tier-II SSC CHSL 2022 selection process will be carried out offline.
Candidates qualifying the Tier-II of SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be invited to take part in the third tier of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam. The tier-III of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be qualifying in nature. Marks secured by the candidates in this tier will not feature in the final marks obtained by them. The SSC CHSL 2022 tier-III exam is also called Skill Test or Typing Test. Candidates applying for the post of Data Entry Operator have to take the Skill Test. Candidates applying for the post of LDC/ JSA and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant have to take the Typing Test.
