SSC CHSL Selection Process 2023

SSC CHSL selection process 2023 will be carried out in multiple stages by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). But, to be eligible for the 2023 selection process for SSC CHSL, the candidates have to fill out the SSC CHSL application form 2023 and qualify for the SSC CHSL 2023 exam with the minimum desirable qualifying marks. The SSC CHSL 2023 selection process will be initiated after the declaration of the SSC CHSL 2023 Tier-II final result, which will be released soon on the official website. Eligible candidates from the second tier of the SSC CHSL exam will be qualified to take part in the SSC CHSL selection process for the year 2023.

The commission will prepare a merit list based on the performance of the test-takers in the second tier of the SSC CHSL examination and as per the merit list, the candidates will be invited to take part in the SSC CHSL 2023 selection process. To be selected for Tier-II of the SSC CHSL 2023 exam, the candidates have to clear the Tier-I exam with the minimum desired marks, which will be prescribed by the commission. Step by Step SSC CHSL Selection Process 2023

The SSC CHSL 2023 selection process will be segregated into two stages - Tier-I (Computer-Based Test), Tier-II (Descriptive Test and Skill Test. The detailed selection process of SSC CHSL 2023 has been given below:

SSC CHSL Tier-I Selection Process 2023

  • The tier-I of the SSC CHSL 2023 exam will be a computer-based exam

  • The SSC CHSL 2023 tier-I exam will comprise of four sections - General Intelligence, English Language, General Awareness and General Intelligence

  • The maximum marks of this exam will be 200

  • There will also be negative marking in the Tier-I examination (0.50 marks for every wrong attempt)

  • Candidates qualifying the Tier-I exam of SSC CHSL 2023 with the minimum required marks will be selected for the SSC CHSL 2023 tier-II exam

SSC CHSL Tier-II Selection Process 2023

  • In 2023, the SSC CHSL Tier I exam will be given in two sessions on the same day. The first session of the SSC CHSL Tier 2 test will consist of three sections: Section I, Section I, and Section ll. Each session's qualified applicants must take the Tier II exam. You can learn the fundamentals of the Tier II exam's administration by reading the following guidance.

  • All of the questions in Tier II will be of the Objective Type, Multiple Choice form, with the exception of Module I of Section III, and all but Module II of Section II will be in English or Hindi.

  • There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section Il and Module-I of Section Ill. Module I of Section Ill is the Computer Knowledge Test which is essential but qualifying in nature.

  • Module Il of Section Ill i.e. Skill Test/ Typing Test: Module Il of Section Ill will include conducting of Skill Test/ Typing Test in Session-ll on the same day. Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2023 - Verification of Documents

The qualified candidates have to appear for a document verification process in which they have to submit all their original documents The candidates also have to submit their Department and Post options during the verification of documentsWhile attending the document verification process, the candidates have to carry an original photo identity proof and two recent passport-sized photographs. The photo ID proof can be either of the following:

  1. Voter ID card

  2. Aadhar card

  3. Passport

  4. PAN card

  5. College/School Id card

  6. Driver’s License

  7. Employer Id (for candidates already employed in Private/PSU/Govt sectors)

  • Documents that the candidates have to mandatorily submit are as follows:

  1. Class Xth certificate

  2. Class XIIth certificate

  3. In case of an equivalent qualification, the candidates have to produce a letter/order from the competent authority supporting the claim of educational qualification made by the candidates

  4. Certificate proclaiming the category/caste of the candidates 

  5. Certificate supporting the claim of physically disabled (for PwD category candidates)

SSC CHSL Selection 2023: Final Allotment, SSC CHSL 2023 Tie Breaking Criteria

Applicant's performance in the SSC CHSL Tier 1 and 2 exams will be taken into account while making the final selection and allocating them to a department.

The qualifying candidates will be assigned to the SA, PA, LDC, and DEO seats based on the SSC CHSL merit list. After the position is announced, candidates won't be able to change their preferences.

SSC CHSL 2023: Resolution of Tie Cases

SSC CHSL Tie Cases will be resolved based on the following factors:

  • Total marks in the SSC CHSL Written test.
  • Date of Birth of the aspirants. For instance, the older aspirants will be placed higher.
  • Alphabetical order of the names, in which the first names of the aspirants will appear.

Candidates qualifying the Tier-II of SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be invited to take part in the third tier of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam. The tier-III of the SSC CHSL 2022 exam will be qualifying in nature. Marks secured by the candidates in this tier will not feature in the final marks obtained by them. The SSC CHSL 2022 tier-III exam is also called Skill Test or Typing Test. Candidates applying for the post of Data Entry Operator have to take the Skill Test. Candidates applying for the post of  LDC/ JSA and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant have to take the Typing Test.

Dear Student,

It is difficult to predict or expect about the SSC CHSL 2021 exam due to the ongoing situation in the country. Once the 2019 recruitment process completes fully, a notification may be released for 2020, and the exam may take place in 2021. The notification will be released only if vacancies are available.
